Not having been to Ibiza for a good number of years I'm heading out in September with a bunch of 40 somethings.....already got a couple of big nights booked, but does anywhere play mainly a mix of 90's / early noughties house/trance for a bit of reminiscing ??

Hard times@privilege - oldskool house mixed with newer stuff

Redlight@sankeys old Skool house/garage


A good deal of trance projects this year driftwood, connect boat and connect@privilege, colors@eden, full on@space but probably your best bet is to go to the cream closing with Paul van dyk as he always throws in some old trance bangers.

However if you are truly looking to rediscover a sound of a day 10-15 years ago your not going to find it in a big way as maybe your hoping.

We've got the Cream closing party booked already so looking forward to that with PVD and Fatboy Slim !!

Doesn't have to be a big club night..........do any of the bars in San An cater for this ???
 
Its a shame Retro doesn't have much of a presence on the island these days. Remember going Pacha a few years back when Paul Taylor was on in the Back Room. Still one of my favourite nights was that...! Think it was 2008?
 
going in July particularly for the Clockwork Orange 21st anniversary night which will be one of the best nights of the whole season.

I cannot be dealing with 80% of todays dance music, it's just formulated nonsense and much of it rips off old skool classics,the atmosphere too is nowhere near as good in clubs compared to the good old days, too many posers or ketamine wrecks!!

glad to hear hard times are back, that's also something to look forward to.

I do think that the island needs a quality retro or old skool night (regular)
 
Went to Clockwork last year and the atmosphere was unbelievable. I can't imagine many nights been better than that last year. The crowd was late 20s plus and unlike IMC1 mentions no sign of posers or ket induced tossers. I'm there in August this year so a repeat of the June party would be excellent. Didn't Space host a Hacienda reunion a couple years back!? Retro is a great shout, went to Eden when they hosted the night and the music was top notch. Doesn't look like there doing much though according to the website. Our plan is Redlight, Glitterbox, Hard Times and then undecided on Sunday n Monday.

im in my 40's and ill probably just do the one night that being clockwork in the whole week as im pretty much retired and not able for it anymore, having said that we have free entry to sankeys as part of a circue de la nuit boat party we are on so may check that out depending on what the music is, if i have to choose from todays dance it would be funky / soulful house.

a little bird tells me they're trying to find the right venue to come back next year...
