The article says this logo is supposed to appeal to "young people".
Either I'm getting old or they've screwed up massively

Until i saw the bbc link i thought it was a wind up, it really does look like the style of the dog recreated....now if thats a new sport then fair play but otherwise its a disaster simply for the mickey taking

the thing is i've thought nearly all logo's for world cups and olympics have been pish (TM lenny) since time began.

I'm sure I haven't had this conversation with anyone on here, so don't know why you mentioned it, but the little Italian logo was brilliant!
I was in Italy about 6 months before the event, and you could not move for EVERY shop either selling some gimmi... amazing-lifestyle-products-you-didn't realise-you-needed-til-you-saw-it and seeing the little blighter everywhere!
And it's just occured to me that my brother getting the Mexican fella from '86 in a Kinder egg is one of my earlist memories of childhood. Just in case you were wondering, like.
WRT this logo, as I understand it, it's only some tiny emblem to stick on Mars BArs or whatever and charge them a few billion for the privelege. It's got to be small, sharp and distictive. What would you propose (i.e. I'm guessing a silouette of a London skyline etc) that doesn't looke like something sold from a tacky tourist shop in the west end, alongside Union Jack tea-towels!?
