Perplexed as to why you even bothered to wander over to and then POST on the Meeting Point section then... :?

To me it is the fruit of life to meet different and interesting people...and to finally put names to faces is exciting :D

Plus no one says you have to spend the WHOLE night with the person... it would be a pleasure IMO just to meet up for a drink with some of you :P Or spend the whole night on the dance floor if its cool :D

I never post in Meeting Point but Jlove had PMd me a couple of times with the link so I didn't want to be rude and not reply, just wanted to explain why I don't do these big meet-ups.

Naturally I want to spend most of my holiday with Tom and good friends as that's the main point of going away to spend quality time with my loved ones but at the same time I do like meeting new people but I just arrange those via PM/text with people who I know I'll get on with or have met previously.
 
Sorry but I'm with Babs on this one.

I know who I get on with on the site, and that's who I'll make the effort to meet up with should we ever be in the same bar/club/country! But I wouldn't personally take time out of my holiday to meet up with people from an internet site, I have done in the past and it's just been a disaster, you get lumbered with some internet freak babbling in your ear all night, who thinks they can latch onto your group just because you've spoken to them a few times on a message board!

Sorry if that seems harsh, but my opinion is, my time is valuable, so I;m only going to waste it on the people I want to meet! :D
