OFF TOPIC: Punta Del Este

Not Ibiza related but there is the clubbing-resort connection - so I hope my question is OK with the mods?

Has anyone got any links, experience or advice about Punta Del Este in Uraguay? I'm looking for some idea of cost etc for about 10 days in January but the net seems to have very little info :(

Please post if you can point me in the right direction (or PM me) cheers.
 
There was a show on Channel 4 about it on Sunday night which I happened to see. They were saying that (especially from the UK) it is quite expensive to get to but it looked like a very chilled place to go.

Maybe one day...
