Last month it is safe to say OTRs third birthday was brought in in style and is still one of the most talked about events to date. This month we carry on this moment bringing you one of the freshest line ups trance has to offer.
Headlining proceedings is Agenelli & Nelson, which is a name that needs no introduction. Having played a pivotal part in the trance scene from the very begginging, their massive Balearic classics 'El Nino' and 'Everyday' have helped define the sound of the Ibiza party spirit, while five UK top thirty hits and countless buzz chart remixes have ensured that the pair remain synonymous with the more musical end of club music. After smashing the OTR decks for the first birthday, Agnelli & Nelson’s return is set to be nothing less than blistering.
Next up we have one of the freshest and most talked about double acts of today, W&W. Coming to OTR for their UK debut and ahead of their trance energy debut and ASOT 450 gig’s, the pair are set to give you a taste of what is to come throughout 2010. After racking up countless air time with smash hit tracks as Mustang, Countach, Dome & Arena and with numerous re mixes, this is going to be a set that everyone is talking about.
Hailing from one of trance’s fastest growing map points, we bring to the OTR decks another one of Ireland’s finest Paul Webster. Just 4 years on from his debut breakthrough, Paul has poured fire onto dance-floors worldwide with a rush of blood-pumping music and viscerally-exciting DJ performances.
Making his hugely requested and welcomed return to OTR we have Dan Stone, who smashed OTR to pieces towards the end of last year. Signed to the Anjunabeats label, with hits such as Mumbai & Fahrenheit and recent gigs at the likes of Godskitchen, Dan is set to bring some of his Anjunabeats magic to the OTR dance floor.
Finishing this month’s line up we have digital society’s very own Rav Takhar and OTR residents Hiddenagenda. After both being known for consistently top performances, which are enough to rival any top 100 artist, they are both out again to impress tonight,
After a crazy year so far for W&W, they are set to grace the decks this month at OTR for what will be their debut UK gig. With less than two weeks to go, we bring you an exclusive mix and interview with these guys to give you a taster of what to expect on the big night!
These guys are some of the most talked about acts in trance at the moment so expect big things.
First up is a one hour mix W&W prepared exclusively for OTR.
Firstly it is a pleasure to have you guys over with us and we hope to welcome you to England in style. So, for all those people that will be making the pilgrim to OTR this
month, I thought we would give them the opportunity to get up close and
personal with you both before the big night.
Q) WITH THE W&W NAME EXPLODING ALL OVER TRANCE AT THE MOMENT, WHAT CAN THE OTR CROWD EXPECT FROM YOU AT THIS COMING MONTHS GIG?
A) First of all, thanks for having us! We feel very fortunate for having so much good reactions to our music and would like to thank all our listeners and readers for their support and for reading this interview. We have been working on a whole bunch of new tracks lately, did some remixes and new edits to show to the people. So we expect to deliver a banging set with a lot of fresh tunes.
Q) W&W IS SET TO APPEAR AT THIS YEARS TRANCE ENERGY; WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO YOU BOTH?
A) Well, of course it means a lot to us. Trance Energy is and always has been one of the most exciting and important trance events in the world, so it's a very big honour to be part of it! We have been visitors ourselves a couple of years and it's just amazing to get to play there ourselves, a real dream come true.
Q) LOOKING FURTHER AFIELD, WHAT DOES 2010 HAVE IN STORE FOR YOU?
A) Besides trance-energy we have scheduled A State Of Trance 450 and Sunrise Festival and we're happy to debut countries like Scotland, Canada and Australia. On the production side, we've got a lot of new exciting tunes coming up and some collaborations with well known artists in the scene as well, so stay tuned.
Q) AS YOU HAVE BOTH HAVE KNOWN EACH OTHER FROM AN EARLY AGE, WHAT IMPACT HAS THE NEW W&W DIRECTION HAD ON YOUR FRIENDSHIP?
A) Nothing but good things! Because we're close friends, we trust each other on everything that we do! We also experience a lot fun and nice moments together when we're touring and its nice to have some companionship as well!
Q) WITH NUMEROUS PRODUCTIONS UNDER YOUR BELT NOW, WHICH TRACK WOULD YOU SAY HAS BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE AND PROUD PIECE OF WORK?
A) That must be Arena, that track has made a huge impact on our career, from that point things really started to kick off.
Q) WHAT IS THE MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT OF YOUR CAREER AS A DJ AND/OR PRODUCER?
A) Sunrise Festival in Poland last year was amazing! About 12.000 people going absolutely crazy, that was definitely an awesome night! That memory is a keeper for sure!
Q) WARDT, PRIOR TO W&W YOU HAVE BEEN DJING SOLO FOR SOME TIME UNDER THE ALIAS OF RE-WARD. HOW DOES THIS SOLO WORK FIT INTO THE DIRECTION OF W&W OR IS RE-WARD NOW SOMETHING OF THE PAST?
A) We've both had a lot of solo productions and engineering for other dj's/producers as well, but W&W always remained our main project. From this year on we decided to focus even more on our W&W project and put the concentration other things on the down low, like for instance my Re-Ward stuff.
Q) WHAT ARE YOUR TOP THREE TUNES AT THE MOMENT?

Q) IN THE WORLD OF MUSIC WHO IS OR WAS YOUR BIGGEST INSPIRATION?
A) Armin van Buuren, we really admire Armin's taste of music and his passion for it. The way he made it to the top, by perform at his best and with such a pleasure... We hope we can even touch a glimmer of his success, but for us the pleasure is the most important thing.

Q) WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME?
A) We love to chill out with friends, play some games, have a laugh. But we also like soccer and other sports!
Q) WHAT IS THE CRAZIEST THING YOU HAVE EVER DONE IN YOUR LIFE OR HAD DONE TO YOU?
A) Haha that would be too many things to mention! One of them is quite some time ago when we filled the big fountain in Breda with washing powder so that basically the whole square was filled with foam haha!!
Q) IF YOU COULD HAVE DINNER WITH THREE PEOPLE, DEAD OR ALIVE, WHO WOULD THEY BE?
A) 1. Mike Tyson would be one of them, especially after hearing him sing that Phill Collins song in the Hangover. We might try to get him on a track as well . 2. Our main man Ari Gold from our favourite serie Entourage, he was absolutely brilliant in that serie. 3. Snoop Dogg for sure, he would be the perfect guy to chill with.
Q) WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE FILM?
A) Willem: Fight Club Wardt: All the Bourne movies.
Q) ONE PIECE OF EQUIPMENT YOU COULDN'T LIVE WITHOUT?
A) Both: Our Blackberries, we can't live without them anymore.
