Never been in October but might be flying out this weekend for a week, what is the weather like ?
 
If it's sunny, lovely weather. You can still sunbathe if there's not much breeze and water temperature is still good. Perfect weather for trekkying and driving around the island without too hot tempreatures.

Cool weather at night. You'll need long sleeves.

I'm going 2morrow for a week.

Went there this time last year - it's lovely.

VERY chilled.
 
hehehe, I think Silvia meant when it's sunny.;)
Here is rainy and dull too. But still not cold.

I would say when it's sunny the best months on this latitude are April and October. May begins to be a little hot, whilst April use to be warm and rarely hot.
