Russians have some funny superstitions:
- If you drink a cold beverage, you'll get a throatache
- If your nose itches, you'll get drunk tonight
- If your ear itches, someone is talking about you
- If someone that you know well doesn't recognize you on the phone, you'll be rich soon
- If you sit on a cold stone, you'll get sick
- If the wind blows on your back, you'll get sick
- If you shake hands through a doorway, you'll eventually have a dispute with the other person
- Vodka cures nearly anything you can think of
