Oakey/Van Dyk/Tiesto last year

Right then. Its my first time in Ibiza this year and luckily enough its my 21st when i'm out there. Also my birthday falls on the day of the huge night at Cream with Oakenfold, Van Dyk & Tiesto. Just wondering what people (who went) thought of it last year.

Should be a good 21st methinks.

Sh1t... depends what yr after... i thought the whole cream experience was very very poor last yr.

I agree, sorry to say. We're boycotting cream this year for the first time ever because last year was piss poor and the promoters/venue are too bloody greedy and keep ramming the place to over capacity.

Trance night to go to this year is Tuesday @ Amnesia for Armin van Buurens - Armada, it's a new night so it shouldnt be too rammed, and Armin brings something fresh to trance that tired old tiesto and pvd don't give us anymore. :(
 
Yeah i've heard Cream gets rammed every week so with all 3 big names on its gona be even worse.

Ah well, just see what happens.

Deffo goin to Armada night. The line ups look quality. Markus Schulz and Perry O'Neil.

Rammed is an understatement, plan your toilet trips 45 mins in advance and practice throwing your shapes in 1sq foot before you get to the island!

also pack an inflatable dingy... you'll need it for the "im looking for my mates" human river.

and don't worry about getting burnt by the sun on thursday because you'll be burnt all over by cigarettes by the time you leave cream :lol:
 
and if u dont wanna dirty arse, take yr own folding camping chair, cos theres nowhere to sit down and chill! :D

apart from that, well worth €50... :lol:
 
I'm afraid I'm going to have to disagree with the above. I went to Cream last year when Tiesto & Tall Paul were playing and I have to say it was probably one of the best nights out I've ever had. Fair enough it was the first week in September so it wouldn't have been as busy as it was in July and August but the atmophere inside the club was still amazing.

I am a huge Tiesto fan which may have some influence on my opinion of the night but if you like this sort of thing ie Tiesto and PVD I would say you would be mad to miss it! Everyone likes different things (thank god otherwise the world would be a boring place!). I say give it a go and make your own mind up.

Oh and just to show how much I did enjoy it I've arranged my 10 day trip to Ibiza this year to allow for two trips to Cream on Thursay nights! :D
 
i went to the radio 1 party last year........... yeah it was rammed but it always is............ u can cope with it tho cos musically its awesome, just ahve to put everythign else to the back of your mind and forget about it.

also......... there are places in the main room where u can find space to dance properly if you want to

I'll go anywhere mate. I always go to Generate @ The Masque when its on. Nights @ Cream such as Poly and Gods. Sometimes Society and when we're out we always end up in GBar on a Saturday for afterhours. Music downstairs is usually spot on. Rarely get into Garlands which pisses me off because we go there purely for the hard room and when DJ's like lashes and Halliwell are on we cant see them. Its common knowledge as well that downstairs is never busy.

andy b - i never went to ibiza last year for the first time in ages (new york took priority), the times i have been to cream at amnesia i have always enjoyed it immensley. yes, it gets busy and yes the area by the bar in the main room getting on the dancefloor is stupidly full for part of the night but if you like your trance (whcih you obviously do) then its a must.

make sure you feel the full effects of the dry ice cannon!

i land this year the night of the opening party, and although i am not really into trance anymore i will be getting myself down there (providing i can persuade the girlfriend who doesn't like trance at all!!)

I ended up in the everest last night as opposed to watching Graeme Park do a hacienda acid house set in town :oops: - but Ill catch him soon ;)

Supposed to watch the inland knights tonight. Check my Today thread to find out why that wont be happening :lol:
 
Dont listen to all the negative stuff, some people wouldnt be happy with whatever they got.

At the end of the day Its your 21st birthday your in ibiza your listening to Oakey, tiesto and PVD play in the best club in the world, You are going to have the best Night of your life, It shouldnt matter what other people think as its all opinion,

I have never asked what a night will be like cause then you go with expectations good or bad. You should just go and Learn for yourself.

be prepared to be hot, not have any room, and to be pushed in the back lots and lots of time.
 
I've been going to Cream every summer since 2000. I'll agree it has gotten over-crowded over the years and it's hotter than Kenya in there. However it's still quite an experience to see PvD rip the place with some solid tracks and the powerful dry-ice machine!
 
Well if u have a great lineup as In Amnesia (CreaM), of course there´s gonna be a lot of people! As one might expect, it´s hot, hot, hot in there, but don´t worry the ice machine will be your best friend for the night 8)
If u like trance, CreaM is a MUST, that´s just the way things are..PvD and Tij shaking the place up and down. It´s the feeling, the atmosphere that drives u crazy, not over-crowded club!
Compare Manu with Cream (well I´m a trancelover), almost to big a place and jerks asking all the time if u want to try some drugs :? Not to mention guys "giving U eye" :x Not my kind of place, nice to try it once, but CreaM u can visit every year..
