OCD New Years Eve presents The Best of 2006 bringing together cutting edge live electronic acts and djs from the biggest UK underground record labels to the best live club venue in London, the Rhythm Factory. It has been an amazing year for OCD with live performances from The Bays, Ralph Lawson’s 2020Soundsystem, Spirit Catcher, Silver City plus djs such as Switch / Solid Groove (Dubsided), Jesse Rose (Dubsided), Burnski (Trapez), Style of Eye (Classic) to name a few

We are thrilled to have with out doubt one of the UK's most talked about live acts, The Bays return to OCD @ The Rhythm Factory for an exclusive New Years Eve set. The Bays only perform live, they never rehearse, they don’t have a set-list, they don’t use sequencers and they couldn’t ever do the same performance twice. It’s all about the moment…an experience that exists between the band and the audience for only one moment in time.

Their policy of pure improvisation and raw creative energy is causing major tremors at all levels of the music industry, challenging many of its most entrenched attitudes about bands and live performance. Through their relentless gig schedule and tireless devotion to their radical musical ethic, The Bays have ripped up the rulebook and debunk musical convention wherever they play. Their spontaneous and totally improvised gigs have been building up a buzz with headlining gigs at many of the world's top festivals such as Glastonbury, The Big Chill, Bestival and many others.

DJs seeing us into the New Year will be 2 members of The Bays, Jamie Odell aka Jimpster / Audiomontage and Palmskin Productions. Jimpster is not only the co-owner of the ever consistent Freerange Records but is one of the most forward thinking underground house producers and djs. His much anticipated album ‘Amour’ has been widely acclaimed and recently described by Ben Watt as a ‘future soul kingpin and bittersweet house don’.

Palmskin’s 2006 releases for Freerange 'So Bad' and 'Year of the Muppet' went on to cause quite a stir and certainly threw a few people who were expecting down-tempo psychedelic beats of the kind he made his name making for Mo Wax and Pussy Foot.

We also welcome back Speaker Junk – live featuring Trevor Loveys (Switch, Izit, Freerange) and Joshua ‘Herve’ Harvey who have now been signed to Dubsided. OCD was so impressed with their live act that this will be the third time we have had them back!! Their sets have got the lot, fat rollin drums, fidgety vocal hooks, ridiculous baselines, and a killer stab frenzy breakdowns. Trevor Loveys and Herve present Speaker Junk live using Ableton and keyboards.

OCD resident Dave iO is one part of production duo insignificant Others and head honcho of iO Music label. insignificant Others and iO Music has had an amazing year with releases featuring the much sought after ‘Yoshimoto’ ‘Do What U Du’ with killer remixes by Trentmoller and Paul Wooldford plus the massive ‘Me and Silver T’ released on Mike Monday’s Playtime label.

Also OCD resident DJs Jason Slater, Jonny Rhythm and Chris James plus OCD debuts from Paddy Freeform (Universal Vibes) and Lee Jarvis’s Mooch!n featuring Mr Kimble and Jon Fynn
