Has anyone ever managed to get their waived??

I really can't carry on at work any longer and can't face working another four weeks!

I may sound like a wuss but i'm in bits every morning thinking about coming in!:(

my only other option is to try going to the docs but don't think they'd sign me off!

What do you do? If you tell them your going to a rival company, usually they put you on gardening leave. Basically they pay you for 4 weeks off!

Onlyway I have gotten round it (other than blatently going on the sick) is if they owed me vacation time and I have used that to finish earlier than the date given.....

PS dont doc's just give out sick notes willy nilly to anyone these days? Seems like people are always going on the sick in the company I work for "stress" seems to be the popular reason on the sick notes I have seen - just burst into tears in a girly fashion at the docs - bound to sign you off, its the single most reason for sick leave in today's fast moving employment world......

stress? god

trouble with me is I really don't get stressed at all, it's actually quite bad as it means I don't do anything until the very last minute, and even then I don't do it

I just work myself up into a state - have cleared my desk and all my stuff so if I hopefully don't come back here I won't have left anything!

Yeah same for me Naddyz - if the work is done great! If I havent managed to get it done I advise them that its going to be done by x time and just to bear with me - I do not let work intefere with my life - in fact my work/life balance is pretty much spot on!

I reckon it comes with age, I used to get quite stressed when I was younger...

if i get less stressed as I get older then it's going to be a problem! I'm only 22 and have got the stress levels of a retired old man who's a multimillionaire and has a great prenup lol

I'll have to give up the fags first

If you have any holidays left you are entitled to take them. After that, you wouldn't be the first just not to bother with annoying things like notice periods.
