not going anymore in september

Finally decided to stop deluding myself and my friends and admit to myself that there is no way I'll be able to afford to go to Ibiza in September.

Absolutely gutted. But theres no point going away on holiday only to come back and be in an even worse position financially than i am now. I'll just have a long dark winter to be even more depressed.

So, since I come on here several times a day Im gonna stop coming on for a while cause Im gonna try and forget about whats going on out there this summer.

I'll be back :p

even if i overcame the impossible and raised enough funds to get there, having to deal with the consequences on top of the general depression that sinks in upon returning home from ibiza, im not even going to contemplate where it will put my frame of mind at.

so, while im sounding extremely melodramatic and probably coming off as a bit of a drama queen im perfectly serious. i need to sort myself out.

like i said, i'll be back :)

lenny,

sorry to patronise if you've done all this but why not look at life in the UK.........i.e. going out over here, bills, car, phone, clothes, music, etc, etc and see what economies you can make there. normally when there is something i need/want

:idea::idea:

If you are that down, or feel in such a bad way after an Ibiza trip (mentally and money-wise) then maybe a break from it all is what you need. Why not book a long weekend somewhere else nice and hot (other parts of Spain, Greece etc).
At least then you are getting a nice fix of sun, but not having the withdrawal symptoms that happen after Ibiza.

Plenty of cheap weekends going online too.

..... actually I spent less this year in Ibiza than any other visit so far - mind you we scored about 4 times in various restaurants and bars.

Top Tips.

Get served by the Russian Blonde waitress in Itaca - she billed us for one less round that she should have so that was 1 vok coke, 3 vod limons, 1 Whisky Soda - Result

Eat at Rutta in San Jose - completely missed drinks and starters off bill.

Get a round of free drinks at Mambo for the waitress getting our drinks order at the table wrong 2 times on the trot.

Make friends with the Evertonian Bar Manager (and get your husband to leave current month's Evertonian magazine for him to read when you leave) at a certain bar - (which name of escapes me at the moment) and get free rounds of drinks every time you go there....

PL please DO remember the bar with the blue manager - I might just have to pop by incidentally carrying some season review DVD or something...!

Once the braincells start to reform and the Seratonin levels start to replenish I will let you know...... its in the West End I remember that..... on one of our "dodgy nights out".....8)8)8)

my debt isnt even scary debt, its just a lot of immediate debt and the monthly outgoings are too much to be able to cram in enough for ibiza in 2 months, which would mean getting even further in debt to finance it, and i cant do that.

im mailing off my bank charge letters (1st round) tomorrow lunchtime so that might work, i have about 10 weeks. however, im saying im not going now, if it happens it happens, bonus. i'll keep a wee distance from the site in the meantime though cause i dont wanna make it any harder for me if i dont make it

chewie, cheers for the tip, but not for me i dont think.

bec - i can just foresee having issues if i do just plough ahead with my usual "get there at any cost" routine. ie check yoself before yo wreck yoself

grego - me cut back? how the **** do you think i have so many issues as it is?!

see you all in a bit

i know yr pain.

good luck!

Heres a shocker.... Phil says his trips in doubt, then turns around a month later saying he is gonna do all he can to go! Had a bit of a moment to Orbital - Belfast at the weekend and decided that not goin in September is just not cricket - whatever that means.

Prices have started dropping for globespan flights. Albeit by only a tenspot so far, im confident i can grab them for 110 all in flyin on the 21st.

My action plan is thus - the mulletover saturday will keep costs down, i need to get on the guestlist for We Love somehow. That will leave DC10 and Monza Closing requiring payment on the door, if my plan succeeds thats only gonna be 60 euros. If I go I'll be at Bossa Mar so easy staggering distance.

Also plan on "chillaxing" a lot and bussing it over to da WESTSIDE on non-clubbin days for some R+R.

(PS. Anyone got the lowdown on direct buses from PDB to San An? Where do you catch the bus and how often does it run??)

Even if i've no money to get myself in the usual state, I figured being skint in Ibiza is a hell of a lot better than being skint here with the weather we have had. I go clubbing sober here so it can be done in Ibiza as well. All that depends on how much overtime I can bear to do between now and then.

Wish me luck troops!
