We get orange marches in the west of Scotland. I'm of neither of the opposing religions but would describe them as a nuisance - especially when they go drumming and whistling by your house at 7 - 8 am on a Saturday morning. :spank:

Its a Protestant fraternal organisation named as a tribute to Protestant William of Orange (who was Dutch), who defeated the army of King James (a Catholic) at the Battle of the Boyne way back when in 1700 or something....
 
What does the Orange group represent?

It's a bunch of protestants celebrating pwning the catholics in NI by putting on a loud march. It's not that hard to see how it could be taken as offensive (to catholics, or even just someone in a sleepy Scottish village wanting a Saturday lie-in).
