I need somewhere to go with a girl, which will have a beach. Oh and something to do, a bit of culture. Any suggestions?

I know you might find this hard to believe, but oddly enough ibiza has all this in abundance.

I know it does, but going with a non-house music loving girl, it will wind me up seeing Ibiza going on and not being able to join in. Besides I might book a weekend towards season end anyway.

Not bothered whether you do or don't mate. I just hate people thinking ibiza is purely about clubbing when in reality the truth is a lot different. There is soo much that little island can offer to everyone.

Not bothered whether you do or don't mate. I just hate people thinking ibiza is purely about clubbing when in reality the truth is a lot different. There is soo much that little island can offer to everyone.

I know, I tried explaining that to a colleague this afternoon but she weren't having it! Ibiza Uncovered still has a lot to answer for 8 years down the line!

she will love it, white sandy remote beaches, green blue seas and its very romantic. go have a look.

Cabo de Gata, in Andalucía. Is a natural park, with 175 km of virgin coast and amazing beaches. For the cultural thing you can go to Granada, it's just one hour and a half from there 8)

I did it last summer and loved it, I'm looking forward to go back soon 8)

Go to Egypt. Red Sea is amazing for snorkling or diving, and there's plenty of culture, too. 8)

i just came back from venice and it's actually much cooler than i expected! there's a beautiful long beach in lido and lots of culture. the art biennale also just started.

if you don't go on july or august, there's less tourists and the locals are really sweet (and look gorgeous)

barcelona is of course always nice as are the greek islands.

Of all the places i've been - my ideal location for a holiday would be a mix of ........

For nightlife: Ibiza

For culture: Barcelona

For shopping: Cannes/Barcelona - although i still say we have the best stores back home

For beautiful scenery: Mykonos, Spetses or Derbyshire (when it's sunny )

For beaches: Formentera or Tunisia

For restaurants: St Tropez/Monaco

For somewhere romantic: Mykonos town


Having said all that, there's nowhere quite like home

I wasn't overly impressed with Venice It was way too touristy and with a phobia of birds it probably wasn't the best place for me to go I much preferred Florence in Italy.
