Unfortunately I cant see the pics, but I can translate. Not much is said really.

Just that they've finally started to re-model the terrace which was initially meant to be done last winter, but they then only managed the inside.

They also mention how they're going to put a glass roof over the terrace.

I am sooooo glad it is just a remodel of the terrace. For a minute I thought it was good bye for good because of noise restrictions!!!!!............. and S Express........... I couldn't agree more. You only have to look at the awesome job SPACE does with virtually everything that ever happens there (with exepction of employing psycho bouncers  ) so i'm sure they'll blow us away once again.

Erm... it is goodbye because of noise restrictions!!
The new version is going to be mostly fixed structure with a retractable section!

it's still gonna be great isn't it. whatever! it's the people and the atmosphere that makes it so good, not the mesh over your head and the brick walls!

I don't think it will really make all that much difference. It's all about the people, atmosphere, music and sound anyway.

You'll still get the sensation of clubbing during the day because the sun will be coming through the glass window.

Plus the sound will be much better so I'm quite looking forward to it actually!

I only went for the first time last year so I don't have years of memories like some but the terrace did have a very different feel -
The natural light
The natural temperature as opposed to one controlled via a thermostat and A/C
The feeling of being in a place very different to a "normal" club
The planes flying overhead which you can see as well as hear.

If they can retain some or all of these features in the new design then maybe it will be just as good.

The most important thing won't be changing - Us :D

its nice to see that when they were demolishing he terrace the builders very thoughtfully managed to keep the palm trees in perfect condition.

"only in ibiza"

well well....you knew this was coming. see it as something new, the place is probably not going to change that much ... but why did they do this in the first place?

have you read this thread or any other one about this topic IG? its due to noise restrictions!

I hope it doesnt make the terrace any hotter!

I agree with the guy who said he liked the fact that dancing on the terrace was like dancing outside, i.e a natural enviroment rather than a temperature comtrolled one.

Looks like I'll be spending most of my time in DC10 next year

Fingers crossed its open

But I will miss the days of approaching Space and hearing Hypnotise outside and feeling that buzz of excitement as I try to rush into the club and dance my socks off as soon as possible.

All this talk of Space closing/its last full season got me looking back at that old picture of the plans for the new roof, defo a good thing, I look back thinking how brilliant the old terrace was, but its only until I read these old posts that I remember the sound was very poor on the old terrace, all crowded round the speakers as you couldnt hear it near the back/steps.

Funny how you look back on things with rose tinted glasses, when actually its probably the best its ever been..

I do however miss the morning sessions very much
