You´re def right IMO. Saw Oakey @ Trance Energy in the Netherlands last year and was sooo disappointed. Most of the tracks were extremely splitted from each other, all was jerky :evil:

I saw him on Ibiza several times and it was (always) awesome. It seems as if he isn´t really involved in this whole thing... :(

I really hope that Armin will be there this summer, although nothing is confirmed yet.

Yeh man. Utterly ridiculous. We were there the week before. Thank christ we missed that night. I remember Annie Mac presenting. She was so embarrassed. Imagine the hype they'd give him on the radio. Oakenfold... live on radio1!!! Hope we get a proper stonking line up for the radio 1 weekend this year. I'm out there for a fortnight from 2nd august till the 16th.
 
it was painful to listen to back at home on the radio... even more painful if you paid to get to ibiza and amnesia to hear him 8O :evil:

he is way past it and embarrising is the word that comes to mind

mind you his essential goa mix gets a fair few plays by myself so credit for that

Yeah m8 i was in Ibiza that week. I remember talking to Italians, Americans, Australians and they were all going on about it! What an embarrassment to British dance culture.
Sasha last year was pretty poor as well:evil:

Im heading out on the 30th July for a week, but I won't break my neck to get to the essential mix unless it's something special!

That is an all time classic mix. Yeh Oakey has produced some of the most memorable trance sets of all time. But for a man with his money and the success he's had, why would you carry on playing if ur not loving it anymore. Especially if you have lost the ability and desire you had years ago. All he's doing is damaging his own credibility with the ppl who grew up admiring him and aspiring to be like him. And like you said, tarnishing the reputation of British dance music.

Hell.... enough about that..... bring on Ibiza 2008!!!!

heard his mix on the radio and i thought that his essential mix was rather good but i suppose it wasnt to clubby ... not to good live

looking foward to a good line up this year but wont be going to any of the nights as they will be mobbed... i might consider going to priv 8)

I'm going 30th July for a week staying at the Pacific in San An.
Might be flying solo this year as my mates are hanging off for the closers and I can't get time off then :evil:, but hey- ur never alone in Ibiza :lol:
 
For me it 2nd till 16th of August. 2 Armadas. 2 Creams. 1 judgement - coz my mate is playing. wanna go to space. I rele wanna see carl cox this year as never seen him before but I think he clashes with Armada - may have to bite the bullet and miss one of the armada's this season.
