Without Rhyme or Reason.

Tripe or is it trendy to stick a foreign speaking film in with all the english ones these days??

Ok maybe the title should have given me a clue but this trendy subtitle bollox usually has a warning

Without Rhyme or Reason... it's a film.

Was asking nitefly what he thought of it... (as he's the Johnny Ross of spotlight) Was also asking if anyone knew what the craic was sticking a foreign speaking film in with all the english speaking films at the DVD shop.

I've noticed that films with subtitles have creapt into the mainstream but i'm of the opinion that they should come with a warning.. or am i showing my lack of trendiness by not liking films with subtitles.

Are we clear now?

Personally I think that if a film is good it doesn't matter if its got subtitles. Some of my favourite films of the last few years are in a foreign language (City of God, Amelie, Hero....etc)

A friend of mine turned City of God off because - "they only gave me a bloody foreign copy didn't they? You think Blockbusters would only stock 'proper' copies wouldn't ya?" :lol:

I work at a cinema to earn my wine money ;) through uni and we do warn that fims have subtitles because its not everyones bag.
We have had quite a few films with subtitles lately and coincidence or not, they have all been beautiful, thought-provoking amazing productions.
Has anyone seen a film called chorus that has recently been out?


.... Maria full of grace has been playing for the last two weeks at our place and it is brilliant nitefly ;)
