graduation was good - very very oxford, i.e. all in latin, lots of bowing and doffing of mortar boards and professors/chancellor types walking around with big silver pole things, big medieval gowns (I had big wings ), lunch in hall at christ church (my old college) which is where they filmed the harry potter dining hall scenes, lots of friends up graduating on the same day which was nice, spent a lot of time in the pub after getting far too drunk.
Lovely lovely day, shame it wasn't sunny but at least it didn't rain too much.
I'll get my mum/dad to email me some pics as soon as I can and I'll put them up. They're mostly very 'sensible' ones so the wings won't be in full view
I went to a rather old university with all kinds of tradition as well (and dozed off during Al Gore's commencement speech ) Despite all the pomp and circumstance, I'm sure it was an emotional day for you. It's kind of fun doing all (just this once!) and moving on from the whole experience.
