newbies

I'm newbie and I think this forum has the most "insiders" feel to it than any other forum I've seen. :?
Maybe that's because it's winter, I don't know.

perhaps it may seem like this at first but everyone is friendly, well most of the time ;)

the forum is a lot busier in the summer too.

Yeah I agree, people are friendly, most of the time. ;)

It's just that there is so much "inside" stuff going on here. Just look at the topics, half of them are pointed at somebody ín person. Use PM's!

This comment has been raised a number of times recently, as a result the mods have changed the layout of the board, got rid of postcounts and encouraged everyone to be more welcoming to try and get rid of the private club atmosphere. Theres always cliques on boards of this kind, you just have to find a way of working your way into them as there are quite a few of hardcore longstanding members to seem to all know each other well

go to bottom of page 3 on this thread and you can see how the subject unfolded

^ ^ Aah so it's not just me ;)

I guess it's pointless to continue on the topic of 'cliqueness' so I'll just say that I won't let it bother me that much (it was just an observation) and I hope to meet some of the people one day, just to add a face to the nickname sort-of-thing. After all, there is lots of great info on this site and it's pretty much as close to Ibiza as you can get in the winter. :)

It's like all Americans.Everyone of them is half Irish because their grannys auntys uncle was friends with someone who went to Ireland once.
