Im hitting NYC in April, anyone recommend some good website who offer good deals on flights, @ the moment, the cheapest ive found is BA @ what i think is a resnoble price of £379

anywhere better that?

That seems about right, prices seem to have gone up massively (well not the actual prices but all the taxes and all that crap they add)

that seems a bit pricey for april.

i went at the end of march 2 years ago and a return from heathrow was only £200 with BA. not sure who else to try, KLM, united, AA, PanAm, any really.

make sure if you do searches to include all New York airports not just JFK, LaGuardia and Newark give just as much access to NYC.

Yeah your right Barbie,..Taxes and that are a oiss take!

It seems prices are cheaper for March time...think the fact we are going easter weekend may have a difference in prices, i dont begrudge paying that tho.

cheers.

We paid £200 from Heathrow a couple or so years ago, we were looking to go in January but altho the actual air fares haven't increased that much all the taxes/fuel supplements have made the flights a lot more expensive. And when I realised the main reason I wanted to go back to New York was to buy some cheap For All Mankind jeans I figured I'd be better off going to Harvey Nicks for what it would cost in flights

I'm hoping so - haven't got a really really warm coat so can't be walking for miles!!

no no no........walkin is an essential part of the new york experience, well i think it should be anyway. it'll be cold so at least take your scarf!!

subway is cheap, quick and easy to use though.

how is B_____O__ finding the new freelancing role??

It's good, I've worked for them before and they're a really good agency in Farringdon so nice location. I wasn't really planning on working this week and was going to take extended Christmas but then I got call last Friday to do some work for them and the £££ was to go to refuse......and as it turns out (as you've probably realised) they haven't really been overworking me this week

ok - i feel obligated to defend my hometown of NYC.....the city is huge, there is tons of style here.....depends on what areas of the city you are in. i agree that some of the big clubs can be a bit of a let down (ie spirit, roxy, avalon) but then again, there is crobar, which on a good night is one of the best clubs that i have been too......we have a pacha open now, i wont be there until this friday.

as for small venues, def check out cielo, some really good sneaky nights during the week.....there is also sullivan room which always has talent.....i just saw tenaglia at show on sunday, which was also a smaller venue (although larger than cielo and sullivan room) and he was UNBELIEVABLE....

as for barbies point that NYers cant dance, i totally disagree (although i am one of them who cant) for every juice head that does the fist hand pump dance, we have 10 people who can break it down.....i have been to ibiza 5x, and i say that Nyers can 100% hang with people in clubs in ibiza.
