Hi,
Can anyone give me the low down on the best clubs in NYC?
I'm going there in June and know the plce has taken a bit of a battering recently with licensing etc.
Is 'Discotheque' any good? How about Tenaglia's 'Be yourself' night??...and do the Masters at Work play anywhere on a regular basis?
...also, am I right in saying the sound factory has closed?
Is there a Vasquez after hours party going on anywhere???
Can somebody bung together a top 5? Ta, much appreciated!

I don't think they do, so you probably don't want to know that last Saturday night MAW were even better this year than last year's 9 hour extravangza :lol: ;)

Go to Shelter if you like house music. Things don't really get started there until 3:30 - 4am Sat night/Sun morning.
 
Tenaglia's 'Be Yourself' night is no more after the closure of Arc (formerly Vinyl) last month.

Would recomment Avalon (formerly Limelight) as the best of the bigger clubs while Cielo (FK on Mons and LLV on Weds) is a cool small club.
 
yep, was in NYC around easter time and went to Cielo on the Wednesday night to see LLV. Very cool club.

NYCs got plenty of clubs for ya..heres just a few things that might interest u in the next few weeks.

6/25- Paul van Dyk Live in Central Park (won best party of the year in the US last year)...afterparty is at Spirit (the former Twilo)
7/4- The Rematch of what was regarded as the greatest clubbing night in recent NYC history (which took place at Twilo in 2001), Danny Tenaglia vs Carl Cox at the Roxy...plus its Independence Day in the US so there will be plenty of fireworks and partys to go to
