New Year in Ibeefa!

ruth.

new year in ibiza is soo cool.

all of the clubs are open. the new year parties are legendary. a real underground feel in the clubs.

Pacha have had some fantastic djs play in the past.

space is open new years day :p with the residents.

the weather is normally very nice as well.

its also fairly busy in ibiza at this time of year as well.

You may find it difficult though to get direct flights. you may have to go via barcelona, madrid etc..

:p

Oh fab,

Do the Ferry's run in the winter??

What about accomodation is that easy to get? I like the sound of Space on New Years day!!!

Have you been this time of year before??

Do you get the likes of Cream etc going over?

i have been at this time before, but never been to the clubs at this time.

no.

there are NO major club promoters. just the in-island promoters doing there own thing.

perhaps james or stephen could answer the other 2 questions you have.

:p

yes the ferries run in winter. yes there are hotels open. browse our site it says 'all year' in a red box at the side of the hotels which are open all year.

christmas and new year are great in ibiza - none of the commerciality and rush of britain!

don't know about the clubbing side though - my plan this new years eve is dinner at rias baxias, country dance the night away in the marquee in san an, and walk the entire legth of las salinas on new years day and end up knocking back coffee and brandy outside the jockey club in the sunshine!
i can't wait

thats some forward planning.

not really - i do it every year!
it's a kind of tradition.

on christmas eve we go to quefa deli in town to choose our starters for our christmas meal - they always give the customers a glass or two of cava to help the decision making. on the evening we always have roast duck from peter the butchers and on christmas day walk all the way from botafoch to the cliff behind sa punta along talamanca, and then i spend the rest of the day quaffing brandy and coffee at sids at botafoch.

i can't wait.....

i always hated christmas and new year in britain. it was like an enforced party atmosphere. here i love it. in san an they put the illuminations up on 22nd december there's a big marquee in the fountains square with bands, plays, dances and concerts. it's very simple but so much fun.

whats the weather like around that time´a year?
and the hotel prices?

is Amnesia ect. gonna B open? and what about the days B4 Xmas and New years, will they be open there as well?

amnesia 'opens' on new years eve (usually) and lets everybody in for free - then scalps the suckers on drinks prices. space opens on new years day. pacha is weekends only in winter and christmas and new years eves.

the hotel prices shoot up at christmas. they're all on this site

the weather is normally sunny and warm (out of the breeze, which can be cold) in the day, and freezing cold at night!

why do you ask?

prices pleeese people??

We paid £500 for Millenium, that was flights, 3 nights accomodation, entrance into 3 clubs.

Avante Garde Travel/Ministry Travel do something similar every year now, I think it was about £400 last year for flights and accomodation and I think that included a night at Pacha and New Years Day in Space.

You could book it separately but you'd probably be looking at Scheduled flights and they really push the prices up over New Year.

Doing New year in Vegas, coming in at about £450 for flights, accomodation for a week and taxes. I predict messiness.

Do you mind me asking who you're doing this through? This sort of price sounds very reasonable and I've always fancied doing Vegas!
