new weekly open hikes (great for solo travellers - but not exclusively)

Hi all,

avid forum readers will know I run Balearic Outdoor Adventures, a small but high quality outdoor activities company. We mainly do hikes, that's where we're pros at (I'm a certified UIMLA mountain leader myself) and usually we only run private groups (couples, families, groups of friends).

We're clearly seeing there are now more and more solo travellers coming to Ibiza, and to cater for them, we are now launching a weekly hike for which people can sign up to. It's mainly aimed at solo travellers, but not exclusively. The hike will always be on Fridays, either in the morning or then before sunset, depending on the route. So if you are coming to the island on your own and would like to see more than just the beaches and the clubs, have the opportunity to see a few spots you wouldn't discover without a guide and simply enjoy another side of Ibiza, this is your chance to join a group hike!

Here on the forums we've had lots of people already booking private hikes with us, but we've also had various people that were either here on their own or they were here with more people, but only one of them wanted to go on a hike - and this is exactly why we are now launching those weekly hikes for which you can sign up.

As usual, we don't do massive groups - those groups will be anywhere between 5 and maximum 10 participants big. The routes are usually about 3hrs long and we plan to do them weekly until the end of October. The price per head is 50€.

To find out which 'walk on the wild side' we do on the Friday you're on the island, please subscribe to our Whatsapp channel, or alternatively simply get in touch with us via email, WhatsApp, social media DM or via a good old phone call! (DM in the forum works too). We announce the route a week in advance usually.

after a nearly fully booked hike last week, this Friday morning it's our guide Joan's turn and he's taking people down to 'Atlantis' on Friday morning!

Anyone interested just get in touch with us!

What’s planned for the 26th? Thanks @stivi

if anyone is up for a hike next friday 19th september, head over to our whatsapp channel and vote which route of the two suggested you'd prefer doing! the one with the most votes will then be offered

next open hikes...

friday 19th september in the morning - cala d'en sardina
- a HARD hike to one of the most secluded coves of the island, it doesn't get much more remote than this.
- steep and strenuous, not for beginners nor people with fear of heights
- some of the very best seaviews you can get on here, the colour palette you get there on the stretch of coast is ibiza at its very best
- hike is definitely happening, still have a few spaces left

monday 22nd september in the morning - es vedrà viewpoints
- by popular demand, we're doing this again, this time in the morning
- already have some people signed up, but have more spots free
- this one pretty much anyone can do, unless you're mega unfit

as usual, just text us on here or on social media (balearic outdoor adventures)

I just realised I'd forgotten to post hike plans in here for last friday...oops!

anyway, this Friday 10th October, Andy is taking a group to the spectacular viewpoints high above Ses Balandres, in the beautiful area of Es Amunts. 10am start from Santa Agnès. We're hoping for a dry day, as mentioned elsewhere we might get some rain Thursday. But it's a route which in theory we could do even with a few raindrops, as long as it's no torrential downpour.

As usual, if you're up for it - get in touch with me, best via Whatsapp +346462659252.

Hi Stivi! Do you think you may still be doing these hikes at the end of this month? I guess it's very weather dependent! A few of us will be there between 29 October and 2 November. I can message on the number above if easiest!

hey - yes, we do plan to do the very last one of this summer season on friday 31st october.

we'll stop after that date, but we'll certainly pick them up again next year, probably from easter time onwards, once or maybe even twice a week. the response has been great for those group hikes, so we'll definitely bring them back for 2026.

again, to all forumers that have supported us by joining one of those group hikes or booking a private hike, and also telling your friends about us - a heartfelt thank you for all your support! gracias ❤️
