New Noise Sensitive Areas Created In Ibiza Town.

isn't there a freshwater drought in the balearics? surely thats a bit wasteful of the water? or is that seawater pumping through the streets?

one of my friends has vetoed ibiza town as its too gay :roll:

so looks like its san an after all, will be interesting to see how all the new rules and regs you've reported over the past year McRackin will actually be enforced in August with thousands of people milling about.

Of course the partygoers are gonna get pissed off with the rules, personally i think some of them are a bit harsh and unrealistic. But as I've said before, Its not my island and as a visitor I'll respect the locals who live there. Why can't they find a common ground though?

summer is here and some music equipments have been sealed already. the other night for example 5 bars in ibiza town got the music sealed, 5 in just one night. 3 for having the noise limiters manipulated, 1 for having it disconnected and 1 for not having it. 3 of the bars affected are located in the port, 1 in marina botafoch and 1 in c. jaime I (pub suy?)..........

5 Music Bars Stopped In One Night.
The police in Eivissa officially sealed the music equipment in 5 bars in the town in one night so that they could not play any music. Complaints by neighbours about noise led to the action by the police. They found that 2 of the bars had apparently changed the settings on the sound limiter they had installed, another 2 had disconnected the sound limiters & the 5th bar had not even installed the sound limiter the Eivissa Town council require all bars to have so as to reduce noise pollution in the town.

Bar Has Music License Suspended.
After complaints about noise from neighbours, police checked out a bar in Figueretes & found they were playing loud music late at night with all the doors & windows wide open. Carrying out further investigations the Police also found that the owners of the bar had supposedly tampered with the official sound limiter so the proceeded to officially sealed the music system so that it could not be used.

Like I said in another thread, close all the expensive parties early,
shut down all the bars, or make them lower the volume of the music,
and you'll get a pensionist resort.
Seriously, it's not fun to have a party shut early after paying 40 euro
admission, and 10 euro beers which cost 1 euro in a store, or 8 euro water which is 0.15 in a store. This is what happened to me, and I'm not happy with it.. specially after only managing to visit for 1 week and have only 1 chance to visit my favorite party in whole year.
All you guys that are agreeing to this are driving the money away from the island, so instead just those 6-7 months from november to may, you'll have peace & quiet for whole year, but also an empty island and far less money. But hey, it's your island...

the other day i was talking with one of them who did sa penya area for a long time (the gypsy with looong hair :idea: ).......... till he got tired of being searched by the police who kept stopping him thinking he was a drug dealer because of his looks, even if he always wears the green uniform and goes with a broom!! :lol:
