new music festival in ibiza next summer?????

Adam Sherwin said:
Dance music, the lifeblood of Ibiza’s club scene for 15 years, has reached a creative standstill. The holiday crowd is ageing and there were 13 per cent fewer British visitors last year.

Why does Adam Sherwin equate 13 per cent fewer British visitors with a "creative standstill"?

And what statistics does he possess that shows the holiday crowd is ageing?

And who are Hard-Fir?

Adam Sherwin needs to check his facts.

Do u know what weekend it is planned for?? as it says they'd like it to be an annual thing, do u think they may make it a different weekend in June to that of Glastonbury?? I think it sounds really good and I'd defo be up for it!!

here we go again:

btw, the other day jonni davis from rock surgery (saturdays on holiday fm, 9-11pm) said that the donnas might play too..........

Oh god no, please, not them! Keep them from the White Isle! They have to be the worst thing to happen to women in rock since the Bangles.

(Well, the Bangles weren't that bad, they at least wrote all their own songs.)

Why, Lord, why?!!

Ibiza isn't Glastonbury
just to clear things up

There's lots of reports flying around about a proposed festival in Ibiza next year, with the Glastonbury Festival name being associated with it.

This seems to be nothing more that a wish by the Ibiza event's promoters for their event to be thought of as similar to Glastonbury.

A spokesman for Glastonbury Festival has confirmed that at this moment, this proposed event is nothing to do with Glastonbury Festival, Michael Eavis, or his team. And it's extremely unlikely that the Festival, Michael, or his team will have any involvement - Michael has been asked to be involved in many events in the past and has declined, as they are not the unique event that is Glastonbury Festival. There is no reason to think that things will be different this time.

We'll soon be bringing you some in-depth suggestions of alternatives for those of you who'll be missing your Worthy Farm fix next summer, so wait for that if you're in need of some help of where to find the best alternative for you for next summer.

Nice one, McCrackin! Not if they were all wearing tight, red panties and carrying a big cherry sign! Well, maybe if it was the singer ... she's a bit fit, isn't she. The little one on the left kind of reminds me of Sarah from Corrie - "Scootah!" The other two - 8O

No girl band will ever be greater than the Go Gos, though. Jane Wiedlin (guitar, chief songwriter) is in her 50s and still mackin' on 20 somethings - she's still cute as hell, too. Watch last season's "Surreal Life" from VH1 where that 20 year old winner of the top model show can't keep her hands off of Jane (or that buff Brady guy, either).

Mackie, any rumours on who may be appearing at the Ibiza Rocks nights this year. Saw the Kaiser chiefs last year and it was awesome! Just hope there's someone decent on when I go this year

I worked for them last year and a little birdie told me 23rd June is the date and they are trying to get Oasis to headline.

Don't know how much truth is in that, just passing on the info I've been told!
