Hmm... used to be a dodgy party of town, if I'm not mistaken. Around Capital Hill between the Capitol building and the train station. But I think it was cleaning up by the time I moved away... lots of bars for Congressional staffers and the like.

I miss DC sometimes :cry:

Edit: just checked on the map... it's further north from the train station, near where the main bus depot used to be. Was a VERY scary part of town... wonder what it looks like now.

I lived in DC back in 93-94, (NE - Rhode Island Ave & North Capitol) and hadn't been back until 2006 - the city has changed a lot- I was shocked with how many areas were being gentrified, especially in SE/NE)
