Sorry to hear that mate, it's not f*cking on when it's someone who's, perhaps, open to that sort of intimidation (not that Anna can't stick up for herself etc) from c*unts like that.

Try and keep calm though, I know how raging you must be because I had similar with my Nan. The most cowardly people I have ever met, when you see them jump and brick it when someone "their own size" turns up.

it's very intimidating for girls, especially when they're on their own. Jon lives in Leyton which is a very cosmopolitan area, unfortunately it seems the dregs of the Eastern European society have also decided to move there. There are groups of about 8-12 men in their 20's hanging around on corners, smoking, drinking, and generally making trouble for anyone who walks past.
They are absolute perverts, many a time I've walked past and you can literally feel them undressing you with their eyes as you walk past, it's horrible. I've taken to wearing baggy jumpers and trousers if I know I've got the walk to Jon's from the tube on my own because if you even dear to wear a skirt they seem to take it as an excuse to eye you up and shout "hey beeyybeeeee want a good time?"
So many times I've felt like running up to the slimiest ones and landing a hefty kick in their goolies but you know if you do anything like that it'll make things worse for the future :roll:

I, like most girlies, am always getting leered at by builders but I'm always friendly to them and give them a big smile and 'Good Morning' :lol: , at the end of the day most of them are just simple blokes doing a $hit boring job and leering at a few girlies is the only bit of excitement they get all day.

It doesn't bother me in the slightest, maybe I'll get more worried in a few years when I stop getting leered at :lol:

Just read the whole thread now, if Anna feels that intimidated/threatened etc best thing to do is report it to the police. They could just be builders having a 'laugh' but on the other hand it could be more sinister and they're stalking/harrassing other girlies in the area. A lot of the time people don't think to report incidents like this cos they don't deem them as serious enough but that's how some of these weirdoes start off getting their kicks :? That horrible murder in Croydon recently when the police asked women in the area to think of any incidents open the last few years when they'd been threatened/followed by men etc brought a whole loads of incidents up to the police.

I'm sure it's in all 'innocence' on the builders parts but you can never be too careful.

They followed her down the street yesterday and she was scared. If a bloke doesn't know that he can't do that, he shouldn't be out in public.
 
B - most of the clients i deal with are in the construction industry and nothing has begun to change the stereotyped perception I had about builders being 1 brain cell wonders or the industry itself being totally incestuous, corrupt, full of cowboys and more to the point considers that it has different rules of business than everyone else. This transcends to the actual workmen who are able to use their scaffolded site as a barrier and a macho-trip is obtained by constantly hassling/heckling any females in front of their mates.

everyone i know who is a builder under the age of about 30 either dropped out from school at about 14, couldn't get in the army, or has done some bird.

really hate stuff like what has happened to your current, drives me mad *steam comes out of ears*

Babs I wasn't talking about builders I was talkin about big gangs of Eastern European men hanging around on street corners in the dark. Walk down Leyton high St at 8pm at night and you'll see what I mean.
I know most builders are genuinely making innocent type builder comments and it doesn't bother me, I normally do say Hello back if they've said it to me first.
Having said that if they started following me down the road it definately steps over the line and starts becoming stalker-stylee! 8O
