After Ibiza, they're playing Ministry in October, December and then NYE and then the parties over kiddies.

All the rumours are true and Smokin Jo is off to do her own thang.

The parties in London haven't been the same since the april one. So perhaps its a good thing their stopping.

people will no doubt disagree with me...but i never really got into their sets....never quite did it for me.

However - having met Tim sheridan i wish him luck because he's absolutely hilarious.

Agree 100%

Maybe Smokin Jo's going back to mixing school?

I actually found their set also booring. I saw hem several times in Ibiza and abroad. In my opinion they are playing to much the same kind of records throught the whole set. After half or one hour it's booring and the set doesn't really go anywhere. Tim is a great DJ and put a lot of energy and resource in what he is doing and I respect him, all the NDSM free party on the island were a great idea.
I never appreciate Jo, she doesn't really build a personal contact/touch with the dance floor and the crowd. Maybe she sould stop wearing sunglasses during her set like she were a hollywood super star!

I've always loved NDSM, the first 2 dates @ Ministry last year and the first one this year in Feburary were some of my best clubbing nights for ages. But altho I really enjoyed the next one where they recorded the album and the following 2 it didn't seem as new and exciting as it was altho I am a fickle missy

Will def be at the last 2 and NYE tho.

I had a feeling this was coming soon... seemed to me like Smokin' Jo had some other things she wanted to do.

I thoroughly enjoyed seeing them at MoS in London in April, at Studio 11 in Moscow in May, and in the Red Room at Space. The latter appearance was a bit sloppy but their style is always fun and a nice change of pace from other styles.

The Sessions compilation, disc 1, is still being played regularly in our home. 8)

Alas, all good things must come to pass.

It'd be cool if they did something with the brand...

When she's on form she's on top form and really good form, but she is so HM sometimes

Sorry... missed the term. What's HM?

Sorry I forget we make up our own lingo ;)

HM = High Maintenance (as in a HMW - High Maintenance Woman  )

Sometimes she's been playing with Tim, bouncing round the DJ booth like a loon, playing at aftershow and aftershow and hanging around with everyone. Then other times she seems like she's in a HM strop (maybe she's broke a nail or something   ) and she just seems to turn up, go thru the motions and then disappear as soon as it's over.

I think Tim has had his hands full with that one

ahhh... know the term, just not the abbreviation.

I had this image in my mind that the tension between the two of them is what made the pairing interesting. Jo being kind of aloof and Tim boozing it up... Tim hamming it up with the crowd while Jo looks on with distaste and then she tries to show how much cooler she is when she's on the decks.

Totally imagined? I don't think so

I wonder what their conversations are like off stage :?:

Well they used to be a couple of sorts didn't they so it can't have been the easiest of musical pairings :?

Shame, but like you say if her heart isn't in it, it shows, and we've still got 2 more NDSMs @ Ministry plus the grand finale on NYE so better to bow out on top :D

yes that is a shame - apparently there was a bit of a wrangle over names too, it looks as though in the future tim will be dirty music, whilst jo is nasty sex
