definitely going now for the first 3!!!!!

Pity it's at Colours. ;)

Plump DJs are a pretty decent proposition, but the rest I could take or leave. And certainly wouldn't pay over £20 for.

That's a bit better, but I feel that some of the nights at The Arches (including Pressure) are just so over-priced now. The likes of Fabric don't charge anywhere near this much and they're on until much later.

Personally, I'd rather see fewer acts. Having so many 'headliners' just means that you're constantly going from one arch to the next and only catching about 20 minutes at a time and never getting into the swing of it.

Either that, or have more up and coming or local djs, as Scotland certainly has some great hidden talent out there.

I know what you mean about the prices but that down to the geography of living in a superior country ;)

 Of course! I do feel that it's a bit much at times. I know it costs an awful lot to hire the place but some of the smaller nights have managed to pull in class names at half the price.

Death Disco have some amazing guests over the coming months - Gomma night next month and then Ewan Pearson and Riton in October. If you get the £5 passes off their website, you're talking about a right royal bargain.

i'm not really drawn to those nights tho

Colours sound usually fits more with me (esp this year, they are back on form, just need to get shot of Hed Kandi)

Been to a couple of Pressure nights and really should go some more!!!!

The best small night was Relief years ago up in Bath Lane. Those nights were class.

The nights at Alaska were great - sorely missed.

Do you go to the Sub that often?

Definitely should get along to Pressure more - they've some great nights coming up. Although I prefer smaller clubs at the moment.

ALASKA!!!

forgot that was its name - was an excellent club

Never actually been to the Sub Club - tried to get in a couple of times but got the usual "regulars only" nonsense

Have been tempted recently esp the Smoke/Fake night.

That's a pain. Were you in a big group of lads at the time? That's the only time they say it, or if you're drunk/wasted.

Should try to come down. Let me know if you ever fancy it as one of my mates works there so I'm sure he could make sure you don't get any hassle.

We were in agroup but we had split up well beforehand so they couldn't really tell

IMO its really shocking that we could be turned away for being in a small group (3-5) as we are absolutely the most unlikely people to cause trouble

It seems to be a Glasgow thing this regulars only crap and i hope that one day these places lose all their regular and all the people that have been refused for no good reason don;t go back

I have a friend who went to go to the Sub Club one night with his brother and his friend, both of whom were in-with-the-fixtures regulars there. Door peeps saw the 3 of them, looked at my mate and refused them with the reason "regulars only" 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O

I'll keep you in mind about getting in there as i have been very impressed with their booking policy!!

Thanks

oh and just remembered my best 2 nights at Alaska
