Ah, and as Phil is from Scotland, that would explain it.

On further research - Mypa drew with Dundee United and went through on the away goals rule.

Don't worry, Phil... CSKA's gonna win the cup again this year anyway :lol: 8)

The glory days of the Eighties have indeed passed. I remember as a kid being abroad where I was able to find United strips hanging proudly beside Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen as well as the top English sides in sports shops abroad. Used to be able to say you were from Dundee and excited foreigners tell you where they were when they watched us beat Barcelona or lose out to IFK Gothenburg in the Eufa Cup Final.

Now after eight years in absence from Europe, we have a great chance, 2-0 up with 20 minutes to go (at this point dreaming of a big tie) and it all goes tits up. Im gutted. And to make matters worse, its my first day back at work from holiday(where there are plenty Dundee fans willing to rub it in [nb-there is dundee united f.c. and dundee f.c. where i am and we hate one another passionately!)

I started this thread hoping to setup a glorious post today once you all knew we were back, but unfortunately, now you'll get to see the poncey cheating diving twats that are Mypa 47 in Europe.

I want to crawl under my desk and and not come back out until 5pm.

peppermint, sorry i didn't mean to give the impression id taken it personally. its just a sign of the times for us arabs (united fans) im afraid. I can't grasp how United can't seem to achieve a single thing for their fans these days (except maybe avoid relegation at the death).

This must be what it feels like to be a Dundee fan. At least we still have (ahem) top flight football :roll:
