Well this summer I've decided to check out Mykanos and not go to Ibiza.
Why?
I love clubbing and have done for a long time, but I also enjoy meeting different people from all over the world. This is what Ibiza used to be about, but not any more.
Nowadays it's all british tourists, with a splattering of germans thrown in. The clubs have got too commerical, finish early and are dying to find different ways to squeeze money out of you.
But the biggest point is, that as a single guy, who regularly goes with groups of single guys, we are all tired of trying to spark up conversations with pretty girls who are so f***ed out of their heads on drugs that they cannot even string a sentence together, never mind be receptive to any holiday romance.
And before the rest of you all start accusing me of being a chauvinist, or woman harasser, or any of those things, I don't believe I am.
I enjoy holidays in the sun, I love house music, I love my clubs, dressing up, looking cool, meeting new friends and all that stuff. But I come from the school of thought that there is nothing wrong with holiday romances, house music is a sexual spiritual thing and all these things that made it great have now gone missing, and never more so than in Ibiza...
