Hey guys. Just got back this morning from Ibiza. Was our second year there - went bout same time last year. Here's a little review. I managed to stay in the hotel all day everyday, only venturing out at night ;) Sad I know but I'm not a sun person!

Saturday 16th
Arrived in Ibiza just after 3am. Wasn't as hot as I remembered last time, and not as busy at the airport - got our bags pretty much instantly. Got some taxi's to Central Park Apartments in San An. Wasn't impressed with the hotel at all really. Small, grubby but it guess it did its job. Rooms were absolutely scorching hot. Polished that stuff off then thought we should get some rest for the first night. We were going to go to the waterparty at Es Paradis, but randomly we decided not to. We hit the West End, taking advantage of the usual deals and offers. Visited bar Amsterdam. Quality bar. Nice and busy and a nice crowed there. Watch out for one of the PR guys there - he's tall and thin and has black hair and shouts constantly and throws tables around. So funny to watch, but a nice guy at the same time! Afterwards we went to Eden for a couple of hours - nothing special.

Sunday 17th
Judgement Sunday. Wasn't overly impressed this year really. Was some nice tunes but would have been nicer if it was a hard house event rather then a trancey one.

Monday 18th
After the disapointment of Manumission last year, we avoided this like the plague. Instead we decided to hit the West End again. Everything was going good until we were on our way home at 4 and a mate jumped on my back and we fell into some shutters next to Plastik and put a massive dent in them. Police were involved and everything and we had to pay 300 euros to the guy!. Bit of a gutter.

Tuesday 19th
Was a big toss up between Armada and Tidy Vs. Euphoria. We opted for the latter and turned out to the be the best night of the holiday. Didn't get there till about 3am and we missed Anne Savage which was a pain, but Lee Haslam knocked a blinding set out. Some quality tracks. Managed to fall down the steps going onto the dance floor. Made a bit of a tit of myself. But a blinding night.

Wednesday 20th
Went round the West End AGAIN!. Wasn't in the mood at all. Still managed to stay out till about 5am. Nothing special to say bout this night.

Thursday 21st
Cream - very very disapointing. Far too hard and progressive for my liking. There were only a hand ful of tracks that actually stood out as good tracks. The atmosphere was good though - can't knock Gabriel and Dresden and PvD for getting the crowd going - just wasn't my sort of trance. Stayed till about 5:30 then left.

So reading all that doesn't sound like i had that much of a good time. And It definately was no where near as good as last year. Think its cause it was new last year etc. I think in a few days i'll remember things that were really good and want to go back - but at the moment, my mind set is that I Dont think i will ever go back to Ibiza - not for a while at least!

Wow, sorry about the less than excellent trip mate. I leave in 5 days for my first Ibiza trip....Hope it goes a little bit better!

Cheers!

sounds shit, try leaving san antonio. bora bora, the bars in ibiza town, try somem different clubs, space, pacha etc.

I cannot believe you stayed in all day and didnt even venture out of the west end, what a waste of a holiday. You may as well of stayed in England

Fair enough you dont do sun? but what did you really expect to gain from this holiday staying inside and going to Ibiza's shittest nights/bars on rotation each night. You could have done that in Blackpool mate.

Taxi for Stuppi

so let me get this right, you were off your tits on charlie all holiday, and pretty much went down the west end every night? is that different to any night in england?

Just come back from the 9th to 23rd, had a great time. Stayed in San An too, but ventured out to other parts of the island. Try having a meal and a few bevvies down ibiza town(gorgeous foriegn girls there), try bora bora, formentera....have a holiday fella!

If so doing, please omit "gorgeous" ;)

astonishing as it may seem, i never expected any remark like that after nearly 3 years on our forum. life's always full of surprises.

LOL HAHA

Yeah I aint a sun person - i burn easily and generally don't do the whole sitting on a beach thing cause it bores me. I did what I said i was going to do and sleep all day - so that I wasn't tired for night time - which worked out peachy.

This year was a lot more er, Ibizery then last year - last year was really more for the music. This year we seemed to be more in a get pissed mood - and the music was second. It was a good holiday don't get me wrong, but no where near as a good as last year.

@ Sy : I live in Blackpool :D

from your review it looks very Britishy! not being horrible, it's your holiday, so you do what you want, but I can't see much Ibiza in your review! ;)

Think i meant to say this year was a lot LESS Ibizerish than last year. Last year was a holiday in Ibiza. Like a few have said this year was much more of a british lads holiday. Which is a shame.
