Classic film.

Purchased on DVD recently to preserve and pass along to future generations. They just don't make 'em like that anymore.

stumbled upon it yesterday afternoon. man did it make my day. i sat there with a big grin, embarassingly, i seem to know most of the words.

is the swordfight between TMIB and Inigo in the rocks at the beginning not the greatest swordfight ever seen on film.

or what.....

good call bekkiboo

Dont go there mate :D. It was even worse cos I was sitting with the Chelsea "faithfull" ;)

Dinner on Saturday was excellent tho mate!

I wish I kept this film in the realms of childhood imagination as it was utter tripe this time around. Never Ending Story meets Monty Python. Must admit, I loved it in it's day but now it looks really bad. Bit like Flash Gordon but unlike Predator ... which I watched on DVD and thought it was still epic! (Cheesy but epic!)

I switched it on with about an hour left :x How annoying! It's the best film though isnt it, brought back loads of memories wfrom my childhood :)

Rob - Jon went to Chelsea away also yesterday, he was in the West Ham end. He said it all kicked off after the game and he was shoved into a corner by a police horse! (He wasn't involved in the fighting tho!)

I watched it on telly... the lying diving Chelsea cheats  :spank:

Ben and I where just leaving when all these police men ran past us. I just quietly walked in the other direction.

The lack of fight from the West Ham players annoyed me more that anything :x

Me and Ash walked out the pub singing "up your aaarrseee up your a.rse, stick the blue flag up your a.rse"
(we'd had a few glasses of wine!)

I agree though Rob, West Ham kind of looked defeated as soon as Chelsea equalised. I think the thought of playing such a superstar team was a bit overwhelming for them.

regarding the film - I did not like the Prince guy who pulls the bird in the end, surly they could have got someone better.

Football was a laugh on sunday, good day out etc - just such a shame we did not take advantage of the player sent off. At one point though I thought I was going to explode, never sang "stick the blue flag up ya..." so loud, I honestly thought I was in heaven... the reality hit:( I still felt we made ourselves heard, shame it was not on the pitch also...

best pit of news was getting promised a semi final ticket:lol:

Exactly which game were you watching? Even Drogba stayed on his feet the whole game! The only person who rolled around on the ground like a baby yesterday was the West Ham player that got Maniche sent off (for an admittedly bad yellow card foul). Turned out to be the best gift ever

Killer movie. My fave is Andre the Giant, and that dude that always burts "inconceivable!"

Where the hell is Robin Wright Penn these days?? Her last (amazing) notable movie role was as Jenn-ay in Forrest Gump.

Actually, I stand corrected.... the only other one I can think of with her is that ridiculously sappy "Message in a Bottle" movie or whatever with Kevin Costner. I am the world's biggest sap and even I was nauseated. I dunno, I think she is a really great actress.
