Must see Nights for 2007

Been trying to get a response to 'whats la communidad like' for six months now!

Any more feedback available on music style, crowd etc?:)

but friday's at space are all change now cos azuli are doing the old-new-old-style-new version-roofed-openair-terraza.;)

with la communidad in la discoteca

We got free tickets a couple of years ago (they were giving wristbands to anyone who wanted one @ Bora Bora which says a lot) - it was pretty rubbish, we gave it an hour max and left.
Previous experience inapplicable... totally different event this year. There are 3 different parties going on at the same time:
Discoteca- La Communidad
Terrace and new chill out room - Azuli
Red Room - Kompakt

Kompakt is techno.
La Communidad and Azuli are house.

Hard to say what the whole event will be like at this point... but if you don't mind the Red Room and like Kompakt's style then it's something to consider.

I was just giving him my experience of the one time that we went which is better than nothing  La Communidad has been around for years and they always give out free wristbands so it's never seemed to have taken off and was pretty dead when we went.

Wasn't being critical, Babs ;) Just saying that it'll be an entirely different event this year.

In fact, Azuli should probably be considered the headlining party with this configuration, with La Com and Kompakt as side dishes...

The idea of techno in space on a friday is somewhat appealing i have to say...is it a mainly spanish crowd? (nothing wrong with this, just asking!)

thanks for your feedback btw, its going to be the last night there so dont want to cock it up and end up in the ritzy.

It was very Spanish and very blokey (and blokey with no tops on) - nothing wrong with either

it was a lot less then that - from what i remember we got in walked into main room looked at each other and walked straight back out again...

hmmm. disagree. i have to say i never went to la comunidad, but if it really never went off...then why the heck has it been around for so many years already?! i always hear it's VERY popular with the locals...

and john, isn't la comunidad rather techno than house?

i'e never been to la comunidad but I hear it was really really good! And yes I thought is was techno.. and a really well promoted night. Of course.. I have never been so its just opinions from other people.

Release Yourself !

The best party on the island by a mile!!!

See you at the closing party!!!!!8O 8O

I think the free entry would have a lot to do with it ;)

that's a point  but still...i guess there must be paying guests. how else could a party survive so many years?

 Dunno, maybe it's just a few poor unsuspecting holidaymakers with MUG on their forehead who pay full whack while everyone else is on a freebie

cos pepe says "get em in, i don't care how and then we'll hammer them on the bar prices";)

the running costs for la communidad would be quite low.............they have an established roster of DJS, mainly barceloneses and ibicencos.

I've already planned practically my entire clubbing calendar

Sat: Mulletover
Sunday: WLS opening
Monday: DC10, Cocoon opening
Tuesday: Cocoon afterparty
Wednesday: Kubicle secret location party
Thursday: Monza ( at its privilege but the line up is :o :o :o 8) 8) )

Then nice things. Hopefully formentera this year.

Where is the Cocoon after party. I went last year but wasnt exactly with it so cant remember.

And Mullet over sounds good - Was it Sunday mornings last year - dont know anything about the ibiza parties except they had a one in the hills last year but do enjoy there london events

Im planning on going for the closings this year

Which one would people recommend - The very very last week with The WLS Closing and DC-10 closing and a bit of Pacha closing or the week before with Cocoon closing and the rest normal.

I imagine that the last week will be much much busier than the week before?!?

Basically not an issue if it is not toooo busy but am keen on getting the best of the so called "closing party" vibe

Nevertheless, I repeat: Whatever La Comunidad was on its own the one time you went is not indicative of how Space Fridays will shape up this season with Azuli, La Comunidad and Kompakt together.

The fact is, we don't know how it will be because it's essentially a new night. It's got potential...

I'm quite aware that I can't predict the future, he was asking about people's experiences of La Communidad which I gave
