Music to my ears ...

Is it a London phenomenom whereby people talking on their phones, stop in the street, and gesticulate like they are conducting an orchestra?

Waving their arms about and making sure that everyone knows they are having the conversation that phones were actually invented for. I feel like saying:

"Ok mate, you've got a Pay as you go off your ma for xmas, now stop being a bell end and calm the fck down"

People taking phone calls in places such as public transport and restaurants so others not in your company can hear is distracting and rude (unless it's an actual emergency).

am i the only one who gets frightened and disturbed by the sights and sounds of people on these bluetooth earpieces things who wander around seemingly talking to themselves?

That totally bugs the hell out of me... random person standing near you and you think they're talking to you and then you realize they've got that stupid thing stuck to their ear.

My phone was on the fritz for a bit this summer (it wouldn't recognize that I'd removed the earphones, which I'd used for listening to music, so the external mic and speaker wouldn't work ), so I got one of those bluetooth headsets to tide me over until I got the phone repaired or replaced. Kept the thing in my pocket until I had to take a call, but even with limited use I found the thing unbelievably annoying.

I ended up digging out my previous, scratched up old phone to tide me over until I got a new one. No idea where that headset is now...

no me too! ... I guess though i tend to talk to myself... so now i can do it freely and people will just think I'm talking on the phone.

this morning, coming to work ont he bus, there was a boy speaking on his mobile... and a lady across from him huffing and puffing and giving him rude glares.

See, in a situation like this... who comes across as the rude one?? i would say the puffy lady.

Its something that so many people everywhere seem to get uppity about. i've been out for dinners with friends where they take a call... and one person will get all offended.. why? because they aren't the centre of attention?

its just something, as i said before, I don't see why people have to get bothered by

the only place i'd draw the line with mobiles is at the cinema, but haven't been for many years for various reasons...namely chavs.

The reason I don't like it is that when I'm paying a good few hundred quid for dinner at a nice restaurant where the proprietor has taken time to create a mood, and sometimes a romantic ambience, the last thing I want to hear is some loud mouth on the telephone or someones annoying ring tone.

It's really not because I'm an attention seeker, honest.
