Music Help!

Hi fellow Ibiza fans....

First time I went to Ibiza was in 2003. What a cracking year! I had always been into hard house, but after Ibiza 03 I fell in love with uplifting funky house. 2005 and 2006 saw some fantastic techy, electro stuff, but there is only so much one can take. Although driving, at times I find the music to be dark and perhaps a little depro for such a spectacular Island. I miss the bounce - the kind of stuff that is elastic and cheeky and gets you really pumping.

I guess what I'm getting at is that I miss the sound that came out of 2003 - the likes of e samba that just kept you smiling and shaking your ass out of shear joy. Can anyone suggest places to go or DJ's to look out for in 2007? I'm heading out from 26/8 - 9/9. I know Hed Kandi well, but am disappointed with how branded it has become. Day parties to suggest anyone? Thanks a mil, and have a crazy summer!

Defected

Dennis Ferrer
Joey Negro
Sarah Main
Shovell (percussion)

and possibly any MN2sugar party at El Divino.

Any day or night at Bora Bora.

I think these would be the closest party's at the time that your their suiting the style of music you've explained. The problem is, most of the dj's who used to be funky back in 2003 are playing quite tough these days just because that's the road it's gone down. Whatever party you attend though I'm sure you'll have an amazing time!!8)

I was wondering something similar as we have a mixed group this year and some of the girls are really not into the minimal sound.

Aside from pacha what are everyones recommendations?

the kissy sell out, herve, sinden, switch, jesse rose sound is what we're after really.

Thanks for replies! I found over the years that defected was a little 'slow'. Problem is, I like it banging but funky (in Ibiza). It just seems to give me energy to keep dancing. Have always had an amazing time in Ibiza, and I get butterflies just thinking that I'll be there soon! Any other suggestions would be most welcome! Will try the Wednesday thing at Amnesia too! Anybody been to Kissdafunk nights?

Thanks Barbie. Always wondered what Matinee would be like, am very keen. Thanks Jimmiz for the down-load, haven't had a chance to listen to it yet.....looking forward to it!
