Are they illegal now :?

I got a text from my mushroom delivery man on Saturday saying that due to change in law the last time that we could buy them was 11.59 on Sunday night but when we went to Jamie's mushroom shop yesterday they didn't know anything about it :?

I can feel some web research coming on.

Last I heard it was ok to get them fresh but illegal to dry them out . . so you just had to neck 'em quick !

The place in Swindon that sells them has had a sign outside saying 'get them while you still can' for the last few weeks.

Not sure if that was just a selling ploy or a law change has been in the pipeline.

They've always been illegal to buy them dry but there was talk of pushing a law thru that made it illegal to buy them fresh as well 8O

Sundays won't ever be the same again

I feel a business venture coming on .... aswell as that, I was totally surprised to hear my Mum giving full vocal support to the Cannabis Granny ... she'd love to be able to give some "natural" pain relief to some of her older chums ! (Mind you, she's 80 this year!)

What I mean is that it will be harder to get them if they're illegal, at the moment we can do a food shop in M&S and then pop and buy some mushrooms next door

Yep, class A!

Cos they're obviously in the same league as heroin and crack  You'd think the government had more important things to worry about than decriminalising a few vegetables

I was always amazised that these were not made illegal before, I think class A is slightly strong, however Mushrooms can somethimes send you over the edge 8O

I've only done them twice, yet both times they "warped my fragile little mind".. I always considered doing them again, now they are illegal it will be harder for me to get hold of them :D

It's election time and you can choose who to place your vote with for whatever reason you like. I suggest a vote against labour on the principle of this change in law!

I think they'd have warped anyone's mind if they were coming up on mushrooms and faced with us lot going 'twenny pound, twenny pound, Christmas trees twenny pound' 8O

I'm sure there'll be plenty of dubious establishment that sell them under the counter, just a pain that ours doesn't deliver anymore, let's hope Jamie's shop keeps on selling them ;)

Good thinking, Tony won't be laughing anymore when we all vote against him for banning mushrooms

Bec knows the full meaning of that ;) however, mushrooms are bad
