It's not (always) insults though is it ? In the main it's debate. Which is what I thought a forum was for.

But hey, forgive me for thinking that just because something is a certain way there isn't any point in trying to take a stand against it.

Is that because you don't think there is one going on? I didn't start that thread either,it was started because of another pair of prats who haven't got a clue about f*** all. It's the perfect political all climate for it though. We should start a spitting Image thread next!

I'm also tired of it I have to say.

a healthy debate is fine and that is also what this forum is here for (apart from being a real source of island knowledge, tips etc). but same as McR, I am honestly annoyed at the constant attacking, sometimes even insulting towards people that have different ideas which currently happens. there really is a difference between voicing your opinion on a subject in a decent way and just flaming at each other whenever the opportunity is presented. in over a decade I'm a member of this forum I can't remember a period when there was such an unfriendly atmosphere on here. I'm not saying it's gotta be all love, peace and happiness, so save me the sarcasm, but can everyone please get back to behave the way they do in real life? I'm convinced I'm not the only one that would appreciate that. thanks.

I apologise if I'm part of the problem, and I always try to avoid name calling, but there does seem to be a line being drawn lately between two fairly distinct types people on this forum.

Abuse is bang out of order, but we can't all see things from the same side. I love Ibiza too - I just don't want to see it eat itself.

it's obvious that there are people who are raising their voices about the direction ibiza is taking and that is absolutely fine as such. I personally have a lot of understanding for the actual content of a lot of those messages.

what isn't OK and I'm tired of is the way some certain people talk and directly attack and insult others that aren't of the same opinion. c'est le ton qui fait la musique.
