That's the only thing everyone is talking about around here these days

We've had high temperatures of over 30 degrees C every day for over a month now. This past week, highs of 35 or more... up to 40 in parts of downtown. It cooled down to 32 yesterday and today... it actually felt nice! Back up to the high 30s this coming week. :(

We had an all-time record of 37.7 C on Thursday (the official temp... hotter in some places). The hottest day ever in the history of recorded temperatures here. The previous record was set on Monday (36.8 C).

So, in short, we're frying here. I checked one day for giggles and we've been hotter than Ibiza, Cairo, Miami, Los Angeles, Mumbai...

Add to that the peat bog fires outside of the city which cause massive smog. It's not been pretty.

Most apartments (mine included) aren't air conditioned. :cry:

Usually, we only have a week of 30+ degree weather a year. Summer here is usually really nice.

... friend is in moscow again since a few hours.

was really shocked, that the smog/smell is THAT terrible !
they thought there jet was burning.

then again stress with ****ing immigration ... had to wait 3 hours agin in the
****ing jet til they could leave.

even in the hotellobby they could smell and SEE the smog !
only in room with windows closed and aircon on it´s ok.

this afternoon flying family from moscow to st. tropez.
 
It was the worst ever yesterday and from my window looks about the same today.
