Mosaic by Maceo @ Pacha 2017

Has taken me a while to get round to writing this one. If you read my previous #FirstWorldProblems posts, I was torn between Maceo and Resistance. Thankfully I got Guest List for the former so we thought we'd do both.

I do like Maceo, but having seen him many times, my game plan was to do Len Faki at Pacha from 2-3:30 and then onto Privi to catch Sasha & Digweed.

However, a little bird tipped me off that Maceo was playing a 2nd early set in the Prism Room (the Funky Room) from 01:00 - 02:00. No idea if this is a weekly thing or a one off, as they didn't advertise it (though was on the set times list in the club).

Alex K warming things up well (brilliant resident IMO) and then Maceo took over about 01:15. Basically there were at max about 75 of us in there in what felt like a private gig. I was assuming he'd try something different, left field etc, but it was a classic Maceo set (which I wanted). Good rolling stuff. Dubfire was holding his hand throughout (but not playing).

After that went straight into the main room for Len Faki. Was surprised how busy it was. Most of the dance floor was pretty full (but room to move) by 02:15 which surprised me. As you'd expect a pretty clued up crowd and anyone who thought that Len Faki would hold back were wrong. A proper full on Techno onslaught. I'm weird that I love this sound in Pacha as I love the in-perfect too bass heavy sound system which just pulsates through you. I could have stayed all night but left at 03:30 to go to Resistance at Privi..... so never caught Maceos main room set

Luuuuuuvly review! I hope Maceo pulls double-duty with an early set in Prism for Closing too

Yes mate, prefered Beyer to Maceo. But then enjoyed Maceos set at Afterlife on the Thursday

I saw some of the clips that Adam Beyer posted from Pacha last week - looked very good! Actually quite rare to get Beyer in a small(er) setting. Gutted I missed it.

What will this be like on 3rd October? It's going to be my first trip to Pacha (shocking, considering this is my 11th trip to Ibiza).
What should I expect?

Expect a nice night, I quite like Pacha.

Like @craig72 says, just make a bit more effort with clothing. I nearly always wear jeans.

Also, the centre of the main room dancfloor is dangerously loud. Don't forget your earplugs

My advice is to use the bar next to the restaurant doors in the open air foyer/smoking area. Its cheaper

Useful couple of hints, many thanks @diver and @craig72

Get there a little early if you can and explore a bit as its your first visit. Pacha is one of those clubs (as many Pacha's around the world always tend to be) that has a lot of interesting little nooks/entrances where you can find yourself in a part of the club saying how the hell did i even get over here. I think its pretty unique in that sense.

a lot of people dress up and a few dont, i m among the few  with short , tank top (tshirt at doors)
i may have a go if my friend had a list for me, last year it work perfectly,it was really boring (i put many mates on a free list and they didnt show up , dont stand for new ones for ibz 18 as its quiet hard to have free glist in pacha for a non local)

I've always wore shorts in pacha and not had a problem this includes once in VIP.

Just make sure they are smart shorts and not beech shorts and you'll be fine!
