Morning announcements at work?!?!

I've just moved to a new department at work.... I work at a university... In my new job... we have to sit and listen to morning announcements.... I feel like I'm at school!!! :o :o :o :lol:

Does anyone else have this atrocity of morning 'announcements at work??... or have I just been spoiled in my other jobs....

(this means I actually have to come in on time and we have to report if we're going to be 15minutes later on our lunch hour :o :o :o :o

So, what were today's vital morning announcements?

:lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: Brilliant!! Reminds me of my stint as a civil servant - tannoy announcements every morning to say Tea Trolley is on its way, fire alarm tests, blah blah :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
 
well I was busy logging on to spotlight and I noticed that everyone was sitting up straight.

Today in the morning announcements, they told us the time, day and date....said last year Christmas tree is no good and we need a new one. but everyone gathered in a circle with a notebook... so I suspect the morning announcements will require me to take notes!!:o and they said there is a singalong at Gertrude's house next Friday

I don't have my own office anymore :cry: :cry: and I don't know if it is evil or not to be logged on to spotlight for 8 hours a day..:?
 
Are you sure that you have changed jobs?

Is it not true that you have actually been sent to a correctional facility and you are in complete denial?

I only moved a 100 metres from another building... I've worked at the uni for a while, but before I could do as I pleased.... and now I have to listen to people. :o .. follow instructions :o ... and actually spend a good part of my day at my desk :o :o :o

I think Gertrude needs to go to the correctional facility... I just got a hand out of the words and tunes to Good King Wenceslas... and a letter thanking me for my contribution to the TEAM.. Together Each Achieves More!!

... even though I only started on Friday....

I got a wee raise..... and a better title... but if i was at my old job...I'd be having morning chats with everyone!!!! or not even at work yet..

woe is me.. the perils of my life......

So... explain to me again just how it is that Canada has fewer workplace shootings than the US?
