More clampdowns

unhappily, sarcasm doesn't translate via the written word, more by tone of voice.

'i really like james blunt'

sarcastic or not?? discuss

Gotta be sarcastic, nobody would ever seriously admit to liking him!

And anyway! You can convey sarcasm on here, with these clever little fellows :D

yeah bec, ibiza's been around for at least a couple of hundred years.;)

I thought it was built in 1989, at the same time as the aceeeeed house era?

Before then wasn't it just a barren land, filled with tumbleweeds and the odd white haired hippy???

(note - sarcastic ;))

aye, but you're no going back are you?!

your damn right i'm not but even if I was I wouldn't be arsed about it to be honest, I'm getting to the point now that I'd rather lie by a pool all day or go sight seeing rather than getting spangled in 30 degree heat......!

I love the beginning of the year when the Ibiza rumour/news mill starts kicking off and everyone gets up a height about the Ibizan Authorities making rules and regulations for their Island (not ours):lol::lol::lol:

I know, I remember hearing all this last year but by the time I got out there in July all was back to normal!

I wasn't alking about buying a basket of groceries, more the cost of walking through the door of any establishment down Temple Bar.

True it's expensive, but have you ever been to Norway?

Eur 9 is the very cheapest i was quoted for a pint when i was there a few years back, and it was dishwater as well, actually in Milan last year in one cafe bar they were looking for Eur 12 for less than a pint, needless to say we declined and went to the supermarket and got a take away instead.;)

What city centre pubs do you frequent Jonny?

The ones I were in was Grogans (cool wee tapas place over the road too), Kehoes, also had a lock-in in the smallest pub in Dublin, was in one across from the castle with loads of Warhol type stuff on the windows next to this nice little food place called Gruel, a music themed pub with a statue of Philip Lynott outside.... umm, cant think of any others i had a pint in....

I don't really go drinking in town a great deal despite me living right beside it,too expensive and too many muppets about thesedays, when i do id go to maybe Rush on South William St, or AKA on Wicklow St both off Grafton St,possibly go to The Bleedin Horse on Camden St or D2 on Harcourt St the odd time, the only club ill really go to is Tripod as they rest aren't really worth bothering about..Grogans isn't a bad little spot all the same, rarely do i go to Temple Bar when i do id prefer to go to Handels right at the end of Temple Bar which doesn't really attract the hordes of tourists like say Buskers or Oliver St John Gogarty would.
