Morbyd's Monumental 10th Anniversary Ibiza Review (Sep 2010)

I've decided to read this in chunks for the next few days so its doesnt take the whole of my lunch break

From what I've read up till now, a great read as always 8)

 @ Ferd

How long is that there?

Last time I visited (about 3 years ago) I drove right down to near the beach......didnt see any barrier
It looked like some temporary thing... a movable barrier. It's a scam, I tell you

top review, as ever.

still gutted we did not get to le plage, the bright lights of bora bora in the rain did not quite kick me on. maybe next year8)

Very nice review Morbyd,thanks 8)

btw,the cove below the tower is simply called Cala de sa Sal Rossa.
We were there last sunday, had the place to ourselves, ultra peaceful....

We found Cala Gracio this year, our new favourtie day time retreat!

Also have to garee that Cadenza @ Pacha was a cracking night

As noted above, truly great to see you both Spymaster and Mr Agent Man.

How do you drive there? Or did you get there by walking from the end of PdB?

We found Cala Gracio this year, our new favourtie day time retreat!

Hopefully the success of Cadenza will make We Love step up its game
(I've been disappointed there for 2 years running)

Cala Gracio is indeed a lovely place. Also the friendliest beach attendants I've seen on the island.

We walked to the cove via the tower after parking near the Palladium Palace Hotel.
Last year when we were there we walked up the road away from the coast,it looked recently paved, but we soon turned off and went through the trees and down to the water behind PPH (Flamingoes there last week) so don't know for sure where the road goes, but I would imagine it meets the Salinas road somewhere south of San Francesc ?

amazing - was there on that sunday, too @ around 8pm (after sunset @ capdesfalco).
but only by accident !
wanted to see what´s going on in the old delphinarium.
so corect. it´s the salinas road ... if you come from playadenbossadirection going to salinas
you pass dc10 (on the right), then comes san francesc on the left where you take the unpaved road
that leads to the dolphinarium (after a few meters on the left side) ...
then just follow this road straight on and in 1 or 2 minutes you see that tower .
amazing view across the whole pdb-bay !

Hmm... this is now officially on my to-do list for next year.

I was looking at maps the other day and realized I'd never gone into San Francesc for a look around.

I didn't know the was a dolphinarium over there. What's that all about?

Morbyd in case you were ever curious, your review is 7394 words long and has just taken up 13 pages of A4 (I really have printed it off for my research file for 2011 )

13 pages? I get 11... what size font did you use?

That is quite the tome... No wonder it took me 3 days to write

Great read as usual. How do you keep track of everything, from food to drinks to beaches to clubs?
Agree with the"people with an attitude" around djs.
El bigotes is quiet an experience and the fish shak is one my favourite.

I make little notes to myself in my phone a couple of times a day.
Even then, it's sometimes hard to remember things, from the night before for example
It's more for myself than for this review. If I didn't take notes, I'd forget what I did on vacation!

Great review, only read the whole report today:D

Any idea how many miles you clocked in the hire car, you seem to get around a bit!
