What happened to my testicle treat post??!! It was an ad for testicular cancer if someone has removed said post without actually looking at it!?

that's a bit sad really. does it make your day to remove a post highlighting testicular cancer?
i think it's sadder that you even posted it in the first place!
we are ibiza spotlight - the place people come to read about ibiza.
when i want to read about cancer i can quite easily find my own way to a website more in keeping with that topic and i'm sure others can too.

yes i've had the 'open chat' argument thrust at me so many times as a counter argument for me deleting distasteful posts. yes, it is open chat, and no, you can't post anything you want - we have our standards on our forum.
and before you make a point about why some posts survive and some don't - it's because i can't be here policing 24 hours a day. unhappily my jobs involve a little more than loafing on a message board all day.

then tell me where i draw the line. there are a million illnesses, diseases, social problems, and general wrongs all over the world and i can't see any reason why ibiza spotlight should have a social/medical awareness programme cluttering up its site.
i'm sure there must be a more suitable site for you all to read this type of thing.

i've just spent all morning reading a liver cancer site and bora bora wasn't mentioned once!
please stuie if you want to be aware of this type of thing, search google, not ibiza spotlight.

it wouldn't of hurt you or your site one little bit to leave that post there.

You'd only go looking for information on google etc after you've become aware.

I think it's good that we can use these boards to discuss important issues in additional to the site related info.
Why not do away with the 'Open Chat' section or rename it 'Open Chat About Ibiza'?

P.S. I'd just like to add how amazed i am that something important gets deleted yet hundreds of other utterly stupid threads remain.

this site is about awareness. it's about awareness of ibiza. and yes stuie it is our site and when we want it to be about the world's problems, be they medical, social, sexual or a mixture of all three then we'll draft in bob geldof, dr. ruth and mother teresa to act as moderators.
until that happens we'll decide what goes on the site and what is deleted.
