The lovely Miss Kittin, a former French pole dancer now based in Berlin, will release her debut album 'I Com' on 15th May. This will be her first solo album and will feature several guest appearances including Chicago luminary L.A. Williams amongst others. The album release will go along with an extensive tour that will take in Spain, Germany, France with other countries to be announced.

We know Miss Kittin from her collaborations with The Hacker, a one-time hardcore headbanger, and their debut single 'Frank Sinatra' featuring Kittin's lyrical command to "suck my dick/lick my ass". The track became a sought after item for many after Danny Tenaglia put it on his first Global Underground album. Other collaborations with Miss Kittin include Chicks on Speed, Tricky, Felix da Housecat (on 'Kittenz and Thee Glitz') and T Raumschmiere.

Miss Kittin will play a special 3-hour set alongside DJ's Kostas Hom, Bart Skils and David Labeij for Voltt at Amuse in Amsterdam on Wednesday 14th April. She has also just accepted a new residency at Sven Vath's Cocoon club in Frankfurt, scheduled to open this spring.

Sounds interesting, especially if this album combines her sweet voice flowing over a few tunes there ;)

I've seen her three times, the most recent being at Pressure in November last year and her sets have really improved. Her djing is an awful lot better and her taste in music has matured and is a lot harder, so I'd be interested to hear what her new album has to offer.

Didn't know she used to be a pole-dancer, though.

i am going to be on her album release party in Hamburg at a club called
click , it will be great laste time everybody went crazy :D

She is one interesting artist/dj. Of all the different and crazy types of songs among the differing electronic dance music genres that have been produced throughout the years, her song "Rippin Kittin" is one of the craziest and dirtiest pieces of music that I have ever heard. Along with the Hacker, they both manage to take vocals which are so inherently provocative, insulting and actually quite frightening, and turn them into a modern statement reflective of the unfotunate state of present-day life. If anyone does'nt know the lyrics I wont post them here, but I have a feeling that most people on this board know what I'm talking about...

Does anyone know if she plans on coming to North America, Im pretty sure she's never been...? Also does anyone know if she is the vocalist for "What does it feel like" - Felix Da Housecat (Roykstopp Rmx)?
Thanx

I bought one of her albums a few days ago, Radio Caroline Vol. 1.

....and its superb!!! Her choice of tunes are excellent, kind of electro funk (if you know what I mean) and she does voice overs on a couple of tracks which sounds nice. She's the one who did the voice in 'silver screen' I think, very sexy voice!

Highly recommended!

:D
