Innit. Futons scream STUDENT C*NT

Qué? 8O

Generally round here, futons are for people who, essentially and by definitnition think that they are a good idea, and b) can't afford a proper sofabed.

As you've said, they are simply not comfortable to sleep or sit on. Though they look it.

They are generally bought by people niave to the ways of the world, and perhaps on restricted income, and restricted artistic design and taste credentials.

And Students.

And students, as anyone who's been to uni (and finished their studies) at will tell you, are c*nts.[/i]

Actually you may have a point there...ok - cheap(ish) sofas everyone! ;)

There's some ikea sofas that are fine, I like this (TYLÖSAND )

Oooh - nice but slightly out of budget. Hmmm - my just get it anyway. :P

So, what colour? White would be nice but what about stains? :?

...and are there any other decent sofa places besides the obvious ikea?

Futons all depend on the mattress.

I had a bed with an expensive futon mattress in my early post-university years and it was very comfortable to sleep on. I had a second futon used as a sofa/guest bed which was also comfy to sit on. Futhermore, I was not a c*nt (and continue not to be  )

The problem with sofa beds is that they usually take up more space when opened, which could be a problem depending on the size of Robder's place.

Robder - I like that sofa. ;)

About colors I would say dark grey or chocolate, you can combine both colors with reds, oranges or greens and it looks really fancy and minimal, specially with red :D :D

I don't know about where to look for sofas in the UK.

what about stains?

isn't that where ali g is from??

robder...........serious though, i've just bought a flat and all the big sofa companies, DFS, courts, etc have really good deals like interest free credit and 0% for 12 months. the range is much better than ikea or argos (yes argos) only problem with them is that it can take a while (up to 2 months) to get it delivered.

You'll have to hurry for the DFS sale, apparently the discounts are never-to-be-repeated and it MUST end THIS Saturday...
