I have the recording of one of his stand up performances at the London Palladium, that I've probably listened to more times than I've listened to Erick Morillos set at the 2001 Leeds Love Parade.
Truly awesome joke teller, (not least signified by the fact you could never retell any of his jokes in the pub, as it was always the delivery that made them (and they were rubbish without it!))
Up there with the best of 'em. The worlds a sadder place without him. One of my true comedy idols. Bugger, I'm actually upset now
