Message from Gee!!

Bora Bora was not as free as you all think. Anyone who bought a round of alcoholic drinks at that bar can tell you, the place was bloody expensive!

(anyone seen Gee play other clubs on the island?)

I saw him play at Space last year 8)

So... unless he played for an outside promoter who hired the venue wholesale with Mr Rosello (spelling McVorderman?) having no control on the line up, Gee has 'danced with the devil' before. I wonder if any negotiations went on to try and keep Bora Bora going but they couldn't agree?

Pure speculation, of course.

The business man/gossip in me would love to know the real story.

It was more free than Space was, and I think you'll find the drinks were about the same price ;)

I'm thinking about giving it a miss next year, largely due to all this crap.

Me too mate, not while there is so much nonsense going on.

Though there are other reasons like a big fat morgage.

Same here. I will definitely give it some serious thought before i book another holiday in Ibiza

ditto. Just had to thank him and the people at BB for some great memories.

I also can't imagine Bora Bora will close down, the name is to strong.
If actual owners can't do it, probably someone will.
They will take it over, and continue it with some changes

They also now free dayclubbing is needed to let the island survive ...

No matter how it continues next year , it will be different if there still will be something at Bora Bora.

Thanks Gee, Thanks Gemma !

Hold it everybody.......
I really think that we should all calm down a bit.
Every couple of years this kind of thing happens, then the smoke settles and everything goes back to normal.
2 years ago all the clubs had to close at 6 or was it 7am because of a national ruling. Imagine Manumission closing just two hours after about the right time to get there. So that lasted a couple of weeks then everybody forgot about it.
For some reason this year the police have acted this way against Bora Bora, DC10 and Sa Trincha. There is a lot of speculation going on why this has happened, but still nobody has come out and said they know exactly what happened. Nobody is ever going to admit to being behind it.
As for cancelling next years trip because of the possibility of no Bora Bora......on your head be it, espeicially when your mates call you from DC10 Terrace, which is by the way back open again.
Personally I think that by the time next summer gets here, you won't even remmember that Bora Bora was closed for a few weeks.

Power to the people comrades! - even the threat that 2 accountants from Shrewbury and a dog called Harold might not grace the island with their presence has had the desired effect.

Right - who's in lets start a petition to take Hong Kong back - I reckon 7 signatures should do it!

Arf!

I did actually - never got round to it though. Nearest as I ever got was a spontaneous incident where I ended up standing on a wall entertaining a beer garden packed full of strangers for half an hour.

They did have to tell me my time was up when I did a reading at my sister's wedding too. By the time I'd squeezed in a few gags and deadpan looks to camera it was twice the length it was meant to be!

Nice to amuse someone else, even though I'm my target audience.

Well Mr B - you feel free to run any new material past Little 'ole PL first - I can then become your agent, say I discovered you .... we will then become rich!!! Rich I say! - rich beyond our wildest dreams...... ;)
