TWO HEADLINE FESTIVAL PERFORMANCES IN ONE HISTORIC WEEK
Now firmly established and highly respected for being Ibiza’s first ever UK urban music festival, the third edition of #MERKY is another ‘movie’ in the making. Grime MC Megastar Stormzy will return to his long-standing Ibiza ‘home’ with a highly-anticipated (soon to be announced) selection of the freshest and fiercest urban talent lined up across two unmissable days, 1st & 2nd July, at Ibiza Rocks Hotel.
Carrying huge cultural as well as musical significance and influence on the island, both Ibiza Rocks and Stormzy started a ground-breaking journey together back in 2015 when Rocks gave Stormzy his Ibiza debut, invited him back as a headliner in the same year, then later took things to the next level in creating the now annual #Merky Ibiza movement. Last year’s line up included stand out performances from an array of amazing talent including UK Rap kings Krept & Konan and fiery lyrical queen Mabel plus MoStack and Dave performing their smash hit ‘no words’.
The climax last summer came as Stormzy spontaneously dropped ‘Big for your boots’ as England won on penalties against Columbia; a moment that created crowd euphoria and worldwide media mania. A major scale moment at a unique and intimate venue. The kind of moment that only happens at Ibiza Rocks.. Afterwards, an ecstatic Stormzy said: “Merky Festival the movie, a very special 2 days, thank you to everyone that came. I had the time of my life, I hope you did, There ain’t a picture or a piece of footage that could capture the vibe that was at Ibiza Rocks these past 48 hours, F@cking movie.”

#MERKY Festival adds to an already incredible summer line up which includes residencies from Craig David, Rudimental, DJ EZ, Lovely Laura & Ben Santiago and CuckooLand.

IBIZA ROCKS 2019: LEADING THE DAYTIME CLUBBING REVOLUTION AT THE HOME OF THE POOL PARTY!
Ibiza Rocks, the number 1 destination for daytime parties in Ibiza, will celebrate on July 1st and 2nd one of the most revealing musical events of Ibiza's music program this summer 2019: #Merky Festival.
Showing the power of attraction of Ibiza Rocks, the Grime guru Stormzy returns to "The Home of the Pool Party" to present the world exclusive #Merky Festival, in the same week he heads the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury.
Stormzy is one of the most famous musicians of the Grime scene. He’s the first artist of this genre to enter in the mainstream music scene in UK. In February 2017 he released his first album, Gang Signs And Prayer, reaching number 1 in UK’s charts one month later. Stormzy has won two MOBO awards for The Best Artist Grime, The Best Artist Award in GQ Men of the Year Awards, as well as Artist of the Year and The Best Video in the Rated Awards.
In addition to Stormzy, in its 3rd edition #Merky Festival will bring together in Ibiza up to 21 artists from the international Grime and Hip Hop scene. The line up is huge, including: Dave, Fredo, Aitch, Ambush, Avelino, BR3NYA, Chip, D Block Europe, Digdat, Headie One, Jaykae, Mist, Mostack, Ms Banks, Rachael Anson, DJ Skaps, DJ Tiiny, Tiffany Calver, Unknown T, WSTRN and Yung Fume.

DAY 1
The young grime star Dave is the main star guest of #Merky Festival day 1. Following the successful critics for the launch of his first EP Six Paths, this 2019 he’s positioned himself at the top of the British charts with his first album, Psychodrama. Along with Dave, on Monday July 1stwill be performing Aitch, BR3NYA, Chip, D Block Europe, Digdat, DJ Skaps, DJ Tiiny, Mostack, Unknown T and WSTRN.
DAY 2
Stormzy will take over the #Merky Festival’s stage on July 2nd with Grime star Fredo, whose single Funky Friday was number 1 in UK in 2018. Headie One, Jaykae, Mist, Ms Banks, Rachael Anson, DJ Tiiny, Tiffany Calver and Yung Fumecomplete the line up of the day 2.
For those who want more, the official after party will be held at Eden Ibiza under the name of #Merky Nights, featuring the performances of DJ Tiiny, Preditah, Steel Banglez, Swifta Beater, Tiffany Calver and Toddla T.
On July 1st and 2nd from 12pm to 11pm Stormzy presents the #Merky Festival exclusively for Ibiza Rocks, the first Grime festival in Spain, celebrating its 3rd edition at Ibiza Rocks, the pioneering British music brand established in Ibiza in 2004.
