Mercury Rising in Ibiza

Can't you go a bit further than the odd warm days and think about why those temperatures changes in just 40 days and the effects this weather changes has in the planet, the eco-systems and our lifes?

Im sorry, I dont quite understand what you are asking me? :?

Quite mild in Cheltenham today, but nothing compared to the 26 degrees in ibiza at the moment (is it really that warm out there?)

Sweet sensation,
What I'm trying to say is that the inmediat effect of this unusal weather is fine, I'm wearing sandals and a t-shirt today and of course it's better than wearing a thick jacket and boots.
But, our winter is 4 months shorter than 40 years ago, and every year summers are hotter and hoter, IMO it's the evidence of the climate change, and it's something to worry abou. Hope that makes sense now ;)

It's been so mild in London lately, this morning it was like a June morning rather than almost November 8O

I'd bring your flipflops over when you come to London Sil! ;)

from the ibiza sun:

Dry Hot October.
October throughout the Pitiuses was officially drier & hotter than in other years leading to 8% less rainfall being recorded, as far as totals for the year are concerned, than in a normal year. With temperatures in the mid 20's only 10 litres of rainfall was recorded when the average for October is normally 67 litres. This has benefited the farmers who have extended their crop collecting period increasing production.

and now as we reach mid november the average temperature is almost 20 degrees - exactly the same as throughout october. the local press have been running photos of people in short sleeved t-shirts walking past the christmas illuminations in ibiza town!

here's a shot i took an hour ago at cala tarida 15.11.06
