...and as for Amy Winehouse - omg what a spine tingler! She's got such a gift there and I reeeally hope she finds it in herself to get over her 'patch' because it would be a sad loss for everyone.

They've not finished yet but I hope she wins. :D

Shocked they won - easily the worst album nominated. Agree with you about Amy Winehouse. Some performance.

Would've liked to see Maps or The Young Knives win it. Thought Bat for Lashes had it in the bag.

Not sent the vid, though heard thiem on the radio this morning shortly after accepting it, where one guy's heard to be saying "this is ridiculous" and the other saying something like "we've made the mot forward thinking album of the last 10 years, and I'm glad we've finally got recognition for it"... it had me in stitches! :lol:

I know very little about them other then they dress in fouresecnt shell suits, and got heralded as the leaders inthat uber-manufactured day-glo nu rave craze or soemthing. Oh, and they did that criminal Grace cover :spank: .

I'm glad they won if for no other reason that the MMC is the ultimate poisoned chalice, and I dare say they'll be gone soon enough!:D
 
dunno what this "nu rave" bollocks is, just "indie" re-issued & re-packaged imo, and a pale imitation of the "baggy" music it's meant to pay homage too. said in their interview that "back to black" was a retro album? well last time I looked "not over yet" is a cover version....and a not very good one at that!!
despite all the media hype Amy winehouse is a fooking talented artiste and back to black is a cracking album, also highly rate what I have heard of "bat for lashes". Bunch of arse I say!!!!
 
Klaxons album is good IMO - live its hit and miss - TITP good, last night awful

Young Knives were abysmal live

"Not over yet" is the worst record i have heard for a long, long time.

It sounds like a fcking car alarm going off in the back ground and their vocals are sht. It almost like they are trying to be ****.

Nu-rave? God sake. wearing day glo clothes doesn't make you "rave". it makes you a k nob.

Grace must be laughing her tits off at their effort.

I hate poshies me, and i bet they are poshies. Well at least all their sht little fans are all little poshy kids who need a smack in their slack jawed mouths.

Yes, it's lovely.

The Young Knives are actually usually excellent live. I think they were just suffering from nerves a bit last night, as they admitted themselves when interviewed.
